Throughout April 2018 we have continued to see a trend in increasing numbers of users and sessions over the same period in 2017. Total users were up 17.5% to 15,829 and individual sessions increased 10.6% to 21,390. These numbers also represent a growth over last month. However, we are still seeing decreased overall pageviews, pages/session, average session duration, and elevated bounce rates.
Again, the United States is responsible for the majority of incoming traffic and the majority of the increase in overall users and sessions, with significant increases also coming from India and Australia.
While we did see an increase in photographer searches over last month (8,946 vs 8,629) and profile views (16,541 vs 15,235), we continue to see a reduction in searches and profile views year over year. However, profile click-throughs are increasing – 7,090 this period vs. 6,920 last year – to a rate of 10.35 per member. A full 42% of profile views resulted in a website link click-through.
Our blogs both received additional traffic over last month, with the member blog receiving 10,886 pageviews (6,173 this period 2017) driven by our Expert Advice articles on the Photographer’s Bio (2,762 views) and Finding a Rep (560 views), while the client blog received 5,982 views, slightly below last year’s 6,364 views.
