Award Tour

It’s time for a little in-house awards ceremony. A number of our photographers have recently been recognized for a whole host of achievements, and we want to make note of them here.

The Taiteen Keskustoimikunta—that’s “Arts Council of Finland,” in case you weren’t paying attention in Finnish class—has awarded our photographer Elina Moriya a one-year grant to work on her artistic photography. As the website describes them, these state grants “are working grants and are awarded to artists for safeguarding their working conditions, as well as education and continuing education at home and abroad.” That’s not all — Elina has also had a work of panoramic photography selected for the inaugural EPSON International Pano Awards. She won 3rd (below) and 13th place in the “Built Environment” category!

Not only was Susan Seubert’s whimsical image (below) of a pool in Sydney picked last year as one of National Geographic Traveler’s best photos, it has just been selected as a finalist in the Photo District News Faces Contest.

Our Vienna-based photographer Eugenia Maximova has been selected as one of 15 participants in the SEE New Perspectives Masterclass for professional photographers from Southeastern Europe, organized by Netherlands-based non-profit World Press Photo.

Congratulations to all of them!
