For Wisconsin-based editorial, advertising, music industry, and lifestyle photographer David E. Jackson, creating lasting relationships with clients is one of the biggest factors, both for his business and creatively speaking. He recently shot promotional photos for the band HELLYEAH!, with whom he has an ongoing relationship. The photos are exactly what one would imagine a band called HELLYEAH! would want them to look like, for their album called Blood for Blood:
The guys have been more than great to us over the past few years and we were extremely grateful that they specifically requested to work with us to shoot photos for this new album.
We traveled to Forge Studio in Los Angeles, CA and spent about six hours working with the band. Since the last shoot, the guys had a small line-up change and brought in Kyle Sanders, former bassist from the band Bloodsimple. I changed up the way I edited these photos from my previous shoot and went with a more aged, texture rich look. I worked hands on directly with Chad Gray to create several of the below vignettes to match their album art and cover. Below is a look at the final images from the shoot!
