Indiana-based photographer and director Caroline Woodham recently wrapped up a campaign for Alberto Fermani, handling everything from stills and motion to art direction and production. Caroline was happy to have so much artistic freedom to create strong visual content that would be an “experience” for the viewer. Check out what she had to say about the shoot, as well as the stills and BTS video below.
Planning and production took many conversations to set the stage but once the shoot started I was on my own with no art director or client. We felt confident with the vision to move forward in an independent way … really a gift to me. My background is production, film editing, styling/makeup and some modeling so I was able to bring those past experiences to the table. With the addition of the HD film, it has really added to the overall feel and certainly the web presence.
Every time I make an image, I am learning. The light, model, production, location, gear, etc., is always shifting. It is up to me and my team to keep focused in creating a vision that honors the brand. I really like that aspect.
