During the month of May, our Client Outreach team — consisting of Andrew Souders, Ashley Vaught, Suzanne Lindsay, Gina Martin, Denise Florendo, Larry Westler, Julie Clement, Laura Wontor, Marianne Lee, Bryan Sheffield, Craig Oppenheimer, and I — was diligently connecting with clients, leading capabilities calls, and updating records.
We updated the records of 270 people and 1,416 companies in our extensive database of publications, agencies, and brands. We also added 31 people, 184 companies, and sent 267 emails to producers, creative directors, brand managers, and photo editors around the world.
Below are a few highlights of our team’s connections and successes last month.
In May, Marketing specialists Marianne Lee and Laura Wontor connected with the Global Principal Design Manager for Gillette at Proctor & Gamble. They had a call to learn more about Proctor & Gamble’s creative workflow and discussed how Wonderful Machine could help out on future projects.
Senior Producer Bryan Sheffield and Associate Producer Andrew Souders led a video conference call with a creative director and an art director at Reingold, a full-service agency in Alexandria, Virginia that focuses on mission-driven organizations. They shared our new website, our photographer directory, production capabilities, and a few case studies. The creative director and art director liked that they can have multiple logins for people on their team to create favorites and shortlists. They also expressed how helpful it is to know that they can reach out for additional recommendations for projects, and appreciated the ability to send us Stock Requests to source the right types of photographers and imagery for specific projects.
Marketing Specialist Julie Clement was in touch with the VP of Integrated Production at Weber Shandwick in Detroit. As a result of Julie’s outreach efforts, he requested some specific recommendations for a film project. Julie connected him with Andrew who created a shortlist of recommendations and offered to give him a tour of our site so he was very appreciative. She also connected with the Head of Design at Eye to Eye Media, a London-based publishing company, who said she would keep us in mind for upcoming projects.
Executive Producer Craig Oppenheimer presented Wonderful Machine’s capabilities to the team at Impact Marketing, a Silver Spring, Maryland-based marketing and communications agency. He worked with Eagle, Colorado-based photographer Sean F. Boggs on an estimate for a global battery company, and Sean was awarded the project. Last month, Craig produced a shoot for a luxury manufacturer documenting their trade show for Design Week in Milan, Italy, and bid on a project with a New York-based advertising agency for an international beer brand. He was also in touch with a Raleigh, North Carolina-based B2B agency about an upcoming production for an agriculture client.
