Tom M. Johnson, a gifted portrait photographer based in Los Angeles, recently came to us for a Web Template Customization. Tom selected a great web template in APhotoFolio, but needed assistance in streamlining the design of his site to be both sophisticated and simple at the same time. When Tom and I were first discussing his brand, he termed his brand’s color palette of burgundy and deep grey as “handsome,” and I couldn’t agree more. Tom seemed invested in this palette as a representation of the quality and tone of his work, so I set out to create a site to match the personality of his brand.
We optimized the presence of Tom’s branding within the site, utilizing his logo mark as an introductory element upon landing, and subtle use of his color palette throughout.
