Logo Design: Refreshing Natalie Hill

BY Wonderful Machine 9 July 2014
Intel, Case Studies, Design, Logos & Wordmarks

Natalie Hill is a Brussels-based photographer who shoots portraits, corporate, industrial and motion. After visiting her website, I realized that although her work was strong, her branding could use an update. We set out to create a new logo that would show more of Natalie’s personality, to propel her brand in the direction she wanted to move.

Natalie and I began working toward creating a brand that would be adaptive and modern, as Natalie was looking to possibly move into using her brand as a production company as well. I began creating logos with that in mind:

I created several logos that I thought spoke to Natalie’s sensibilities, but it wasn’t until I introduced another color into the palette that I finally landed on a good idea. Natalie and I both loved that this logo (below) was adaptive and that it would look great on a website or business card.

Natalie was happy with the result, and with a new logo in hand, moved on to redesigning her website.
