Analytics: June 2014

It was a successful month of June here at Wonderful Machine, as we’re chugging along through vacations, holidays and some seriously hot weather! The blog saw a good amount of traffic last month, with 20,263 sessions and 74,684 pageviews, up 5% from this time last year.

The search site generated 13,334 sessions and 18,044 pageviews in June, with the number of new users up 15% from this time last year.

The top clicked photographers in June were as follows, with Edgardo Contreras leading the pack, followed by Kayoua Xiong, Joe McNally, Tungsten and Gareth Brown.

Below, I have also included the top visited pages within the WM search site last month. (This is within the site, while the above is people that actually clicked out of the search site and entered that specific photographer’s site.) Our stock request page led the way, followed by photographers Joe McNally, Zack Arias and our daily special specialty!

A big thanks to all of our members who took the time to let us know about jobs acquired through Wonderful Machine last month! Below are a few recent successes:

• “I’m out to profile the owner of Kimmie Candy, a chocolate and candy factory, for a MyBusiness Magazine feature. Got the assignment through Wonderful Machine! Just wanted to say thank you!” – Shea Evans/ Stateline, Nevada
• “Just shot my first project with Golf Digest last month, all thanks to the photo editor using WM and finding my name on there.” – Rob Durston/ Belfast, Northern Ireland
• “I just returned from a shoot and wanted to tell you that just yesterday I got a call from a photo editor at People Magazine and am shooting an assignment this weekend for them in North Dakota. She told me she had located me through WM. Also am shooting on East coast for 4 days in mid June for an out of town agency and suspect that also came through WM since I don’t do any other out of town promotion.” – Jim Henderson/ Eden Prairie, Minnesota
• “I was recently hired by MSP Communications to shoot a portrait for IBM Systems Magazine, they found me on Wonderful Machine of course.” – David Vaaknin/ Jerusalem, Israel
• “I just had my first person contact me from seeing some of my work on Wonderful Machine’s website, so that’s great!” – Josh LeClair/ Marquette, Michigan
