Marking the first of many photoshoots Charleston, South Carolina based photographer Kate Benson worked on for Luxe Interiors + Design Magazine, the “Material Matters” feature was posied to be a challenging assignment. There was going to be insulation next to the tables and Kate dreaded it was going to be pink fiberglass.
I was imagining walking into a nightmare, having to wear body-covering suits and masks to get the shoot I was in. So when I saw the recycled denim insulation, I visibly relaxed. I told the team about what I thought I was coming in to photograph and we had a laugh. The stuff still was a nightmare in it’s own way, it shed like crazy and we had to constantly fight to contain it.
