Member Open House: John Fulton for ViaSat

BY Will Brown 12 May 2020
Intel, Published

One of the ways we’re supporting our member photographers during COVID-19 is with a weekly Member Open House. These discussions, which are often presented in a Zoom call, are hosted by Wonderful Machine staff members and will cover topics that we hope you’ll find interesting and informative.

Last Friday, photographer John Fulton, ViaSat senior art director Justin Patrick, and freelance producer Karin Fittante walked us through a successful photoshoot — from the pitch all the way to post. The photoshoot was for ViaSat, a global communications company. Learn about Fulton’s winning pitch for the assignment, how he worked with Patrick and Vittante to plan the production, and how he met a variety of creative and technical challenges on set and in post. The talk was moderated by former PDN executive editor, David Walker.

Check out our COVID-19 Resources page for information and inspiration for photographers during COVID.
