Guide: Behind The Scenes Video

BY Lindsay Thompson 1 January 2022
Intel, Wonderful Machine News, Guide

We’re excited to announce that we’ve added a new behind-the-scenes feature to our photographer profiles. When visitors click the BTS button, a modal window pops up and they can then click a play button to view a short video. That video provides prospective clients with a sense of what it’s like to work with a photographer and it’s a great way for our photographers to show off their personality.

We’re hosting the videos on our premium Vimeo account, which gives us some control over how the embedded videos look and behave. The volume defaults to on and the video doesn’t automatically loop. There’s a share button, which I think people will use, and viewers can control the resolution or switch to full screen if they want to. If you’d like to add a BTS video to your photographer profile, please review the guidelines below and send us a link. To see an example of what we’re looking for, check out Saam’s video:

BTS Video Requirements

  • Duration: about a minute
  • Orientation: horizontal
  • File Format: MP4
  • Sound: please include sound in your video
  • Delivery: send our Member Services team link to your video on YouTube, Vimeo, or Dropbox (make sure we can download it)

Once we have enough videos uploaded, we’ll find ways to share them with our clients.

If you have footage that you think would make a great BTS video but don’t have the time to edit it, we can help!
