Our producer Julia began the month of April charging away at reaching out to prominent brands. With a new and updated approach, she made 722 outreach attempts, 49 connections and added 43 new client prospects. April turned out to be a great month to speak with clients and establish new relationships.
Julia received a great response from Brand Producer Ilana Diamond at Honor Technology:
Hi Julia, Thank you for following-up! I’m definitely familiar with Wonderful Machine and have worked with many of your member photographers before. I will definitely keep you in mind for upcoming projects.
Julia, along with executive producer Jess Dudley, led four creative capabilities calls. The first was a follow-up call with Brooks Running from our initial call in March. This time, we had a great conversation with their team discussing our capabilities and what we can provide to complement their upcoming projects. Julia and Jess also had calls with a Producer at Vitamix and a Picture Researcher at Virtuoso. Both calls discussed the Wonderful Machine brand, our photographer directory, and also our shoot production capabilities. Julia ended the month hosting a great call with an Executive Producer at the Wisconsin Department of Tourism discussing all of the creative ways that Wonderful Machine works with travel/lifestyle brands.
Producer Claire McHale reached out to over 1,100 publications in April. She had four great connections with a variety of publications and scheduled phone calls discussing our member photographer directory as well our stock request tool. One connection, an Associate Design Director at Private Clubs Magazine, detailed how the magazine primarily focuses on travel and portraiture work and was very interested in our directory as he typically has assignments all across the United States. Claire also connected with a Contributing Photo Editor at Success Partners who handles all of the assignment and stock photography for the magazine and has used Wonderful Machine for over ten years to source photographers. Success Magazine’s assignments tend to lean towards environmental/portraiture work. Claire also discussed Wonderful Machine’s capabilities with the Production Manager/Photo Editor at Strategic Insight, who mentioned that most of their shoots focus on portraiture in the NYC metro area. Lastly, Claire and Julia had a call with a Photo Assistant at Parents Magazine who had heard of Wonderful Machine from a colleague but was interested in having us walk her through our sire and show her how to search via our “Find Photographers” page.
Matt hosted two sets of portfolio events in NYC with a variety of agencies and publications including Intersection, Huffington Post, Juice Pharma, and M Booth.
