July may be over, but the work of our research and outreach team is never done! This month, our ever-busy Associate Producers hit the phones (and the keyboards), making sure potential clients know all about our amazing photographers.
Pat continued his client outreach efforts, promoting our photographers to worldwide brands, agencies, and publications. He made a total of 141 calls and sent 150 emails, resulting in 13 connections. Most recently, Pat spoke with a Marketing Coordinator at Gensler, who was happy to hear more about our photographers and services.
Thanks for sending your information over. It’s really amazing all of the things Wonderful Machine does!
July was a busy month for Alex. He spent some time in Knoxville, Tennessee digital teching for member photographer Heather Anne Thomas on a shoot for a national convenient store. After that, he had a tight deadline for retouching 60 selects from the shoot. Between teching and retouching, he found time to add 12 new prospects, make 10 calls, and send 10 emails. Along the way, he was contacted by a friend at The Committee on Sustainability Assessment (COSA) to put together an estimate for a 2-day video shoot in the Boston area.
Matt attended a Phase One Certification program in New York, and upon his return (completely certified!) he made 13 connections through 58 phone calls and 62 emails. As the coordinator of our portfolio events, Matt also locked down meetings with Ann Taylor, Intermix, Purpose, and Vox Media, and has been in conversation with other potential clients for August.
This month, Julia found herself quite busy with some consulting projects, but she still focused on her brand research and promoted our member photographers to a variety of clients. By the end of July, she had added 114 new prospects, outreached 199 times via phone and email, and made 19 connections. Of those connections, Julia was able to schedule some follow-up calls and learn a little bit more about the client’s creative needs. One of those calls was with a Graphic Designer at Outfront Magazine by Keller Williams Realty.
Hi Julia, Thank you for reaching out. We have used photographers from Wonderful Machine before and have had a good experience. Our specific need for photographers are with our quarterly magazine, Outfront, as we need to source photographers all over the country to photograph our feature agents.
Claire moved into our Publicity department, but she was still able to follow up with the Senior Marketing Specialist at Stantec in Alberta, Canada. She and Julia set up a call and learned that the representative, who is responsible for managing all aspects of production herself, typically outsources for photographers. So she was happy to learn about our “Find Photographer’s” feature to help narrow her search.
The team is looking forward to the month of August and connecting with more potential clients!
