October came in and out with the drop of a witch’s hat, and our research and outreach teams wasted no time contacting brands, agencies, and publications on behalf of our photographers. As usual, their goal was to connect clients with appropriate photographers for their needs and make sure they knew of our photographer directory for future use.
Brands: The month of October started with a splash as Alex dove into brand outreach and Claire continued her efforts to add architecture, beauty, and active lifestyle brands from the U.S and abroad to our database. Alex reached out to brands like Panera Bread and Pier 1 Imports, connecting with them about their photography needs and which of our photographers might suit their styles. Together, he and Claire added 213 contacts to our database, sent 164 emails, made 144 phone calls, and made 12 connections. Alex even received this email from the design and production assistant of Clark McDowall after reaching out:
I would love to know more about your NYC photographers. We are looking to have someone come in and shoot some product. Could you be so kind as to send over some NYC photographers that have a bright and clean esthetic?
Agencies: In October, our agencies team focused on setting up a few meetings for October’s New York portfolio event, including meetings with The 88 and Woman’s Day. They got such a great response from their outreach that they booked up our November portfolio event as well! Meli focused on researching and adding viable agencies in New York while Victoria focused on outreach. Together, they made 48 agency additions, sent 80 initial emails, made 67 phone calls, had 15 new connections, and scheduled 8 meetings.

Publications: Our publications duo of Matt and Pat have continued their hard work on research and outreach. Pat has been focused on adding both foreign and domestic publications while Matt handles the outreach portion. Their work has resulted in 206 publications additions to our database, 283 initial emails, 259 phone calls, 51 connections and 26 meetings. We’ll take that!
