With autumn flying by, Meli and I decided to take advantage of the lingering warm weather and spent the day in the Big Apple, meeting with a few of our favorite New York City creatives. We made our way into the city and got a brief glimpse of Lady Liberty as we headed to Midtown for our first meeting with Saatchi & Saatchi Wellness.
Meli chats with a few Saatchi & Saatchi creatives about our photographers.
There we met with the Director of Art Buying and her team to chat about Wonderful Machine and our photographers. She mentioned that she has used Wonderful Machine in the past when looking for photographers in unfamiliar areas, but was less familiar with our production services and other tools. The team loved John Fulton’s style and iconic crop duster plane image, and were impressed by our range of international photographers, including Joe Wigdahl from Australia.
Tadd Myers also turned some heads with his unique branding and attention to detail. Everyone left with one of Tadd’s custom branded pencils and wooden business cards!
Tadd Myers cohesive branding was a big hit with Saatchi & Saatchi.

After a few pictures and a quick goodbye, Meli and I headed across town to meet with XO Group, home of The Bump and The Knot. We met with the Photo Editor from The Bump, as well as the Associate Online Photo Editor and Associate Photo Editor from the Knot. We had a great time checking out all the beautiful props at XO Group, and everyone took a minute to ooh and ahh over the beautiful baby, maternity, and wedding portfolios we brought along.

After giving everyone a brief tour of our website and and the different services we offer our clients, Meli and I showed them the portfolios we brought along. The Photo Editor of The Bump liked Inti St. Clair’s book and was especially appreciative of the maternity and baby gear images that were included. This was great to hear as we had completely customized Inti’s book for the meeting using our Print Portfolio Management service.
The Bump loved Adair Rutledge’s portfolio as it included a special project featuring a series of fresh, delicious baby food! The team also enjoyed Michael Haug’s bright colors and quirky style, with his images of baby gear shot from above offering a nice contrast to the more typically styled shots. The Associate Photo Editor from the Knot was interested in our fashion and beauty photographers, and loved seeing Monica Stevenson’s beauty promo. We even brought along some appropriate swag, a few baby onesies complete with Wonderful Machine branding.
Hi Meli,
Thank you so much for taking the time to meet with us and sending me all of this information! It is all incredibly helpful and I am sure I will be in touch very soon!
After wrapping up our meeting with XO Group, Meli and I loaded up the car and headed back to Philadelphia, enjoying another glimpse of Ellis Island and a beautiful sunset. Until next time New York!
