We mentioned in our Phone Calls: March 2017 blog that we are increasing the frequency of our Portfolio Events, and I wanted to give you a little bit more information about that! Our Portfolio Events are included with your Wonderful Machine membership, and we encourage all of our photographers to take advantage of it by providing us with a print portfolio that we can show when we meet with clients. We used to schedule those meetings on a monthly basis, but we’ve switched to scheduling them on a more frequent and ongoing basis.
I took over the process in early April, and we currently have six meetings scheduled through May and plan to add more.
We’re meeting with FCB Health, AnalogFolk, and Language Dept at the end of April, and have meetings scheduled with Translation, BBDO, and MCD Partners throughout May. The client’s needs dictate whose portfolios we bring to each meeting, but if we do not have a copy of your book we can’t bring it.
If you need to print your portfolio or need help with a print edit our Senior Photo Editor Stacy will be happy to help you. If we do have your book, but you haven’t updated it in a while, feel free to reach out to me or send in new pages for me to add. If you’d like to send me a new portfolio, you can ship it using any method, but we only return portfolios via Federal Express, so please include your FedEx account number so I can ship it back to you when the time comes.
