Print Mailer: The Best and the Brightest

BY Wonderful Machine 27 November 2013
Intel, Wonderful Machine News, Published, Wonderful Machine News

By Karrisa Olsen

Just when you think life is slowing down–BOOM–it’s December. Possibly the most hectic month of the year between the holidays and cold and snowy weather for some of us. We decided to embrace the Winter in this month’s print mailer. Instead of complaining about not being able to feel our hands, or having to drive to work in icy conditions, or being surrounded by gloomy, bare trees (does this count as complaining?), let’s take a moment to embrace how beautiful snow can be. In this beautiful photo, Kamil Tamiola makes pitching a tent and sleeping in the snow look warm and inviting. Taken during a 10-day stay in Mont Blanc Massif in the French Alps, this starry nightscape was a part of a documentary about long exposures in the mountains. Ticino, Switzerland-based Kamil told us about how it led to further projects:

The running title of the project was “Let There Be Light.” The photograph was an outcome of various experiments about long exposure techniques with an adventure element. Once published, the photograph became very popular on social networks, and eventually got picked up by Nat Geo. The popularity of the shot and the story behind it, gave us a chance to collaborate with Facebook yielding “Do What You Love”

Pretty impressive how one thing can lead to another. Hopefully, these mailers (printed by Modern Postcard) will lead clients to us, which will, in turn, lead them to you!
