Happy holidays, everyone. We’ve sent out a postcard, printed by Modern Postcard, to some of our creative friends, using a picturesque winter photo by New York-based photographer Michael Grimm.

Winter postcard created using New York-based photographer Michael Grimm's photo with Wonderful Machine promo with tagline

It was shot in Prospect Park, Brooklyn, during a snow storm last winter. At the time I was working on a music video for a local band called Lucius.

The video below recounts a kind of narrative about winter.

The first half of the video is taking place inside a house at night, and the second half is about leaving the house in the morning and being in a wintery and snowy landscape.

As Michael was shooting footage and scouting locations for more scenes with the band, he captured this image. I asked Michael what led him to take this shot in particular. His answer was simple: “the right moment.”
