We love when our photographers let us know how they’re doing, so when Leah Overstreet recently sent word that she had images featured in a recent article for Runner’s World, we were more than happy to read it!
Looking through the article, we noticed something pretty cool about each of the images. Leah wasn’t the only WM photographer to be included- Runner’s World photo editor Kristin Parker had sourced not one, not two, but six Wonderful Machine members for the spread! Hana Asano, Abigail Bobo, Jason Evans, Daymon Gardner, Ian MacLellan, and of course Leah Overstreet each photographed one runner who left their excuses at the door.
These photographers, spanning locations from Los Angeles, California to Middletown, Rhode Island and beyond, were the perfect group to shoot a series of coordinated runner portraits. Kristin is no stranger to Wonderful Machine, but started using us to find photographers more often within the last year.
Overall, Wonderful Machine has been a great resource for finding great photographers that are located all across the country.
Runner’s World had worked with Hana, Jason, Daymon, and Ian previously, so Kristin knew they could create solid portraits that would compliment each other. Hana and Abigail were new additions, but their Wonderful Machine profiles showed their obvious skill. Each photographer was independently hired and sent in their final images, unaware of their WM fellows doing the same.
With 700 photographers around the world, it’s no surprise Runner’s World finds Wonderful Machine a reliable source of talent. And with photographers like Hana, Abigail, Jason, Daymon, Ian, and Leah, who could disagree?
