During the first month of 2022, Wonderful Machine received three stock requests. Of those, two were unmanaged requests from Travel + Leisure magazine and one was a managed request for a soft drink brand.
The first request that came through was from Travel + Leisure and requested landscape images of Vermont’s Champlain Valley for one-time publication use.
The second request from the magazine was for the May 2022 issue and included a list of various locations around the world — from Manhattan to Mozambique! — that they were seeking images for. This request too was for one-time publication use.
The managed stock request (meaning that we manage the process for the client and negotiate fees for the photographer) we received this month came from a soft drink brand that sought images of black concertgoers to use for an advertising campaign. The usage included point of sale, web advertising, and print for one year.
