With most photographer directories, your location (even if you can select more than one) is static. There is at least one directory that I know of that allows you to update your current location in real time, which is nice. But we have taken that idea one step further by allowing our photographers to update their Travel Plans to show any number of locations into the future. This allows clients who need a photographer in a particular place and on a particular date – to see search results that factor in the whereabouts of our photographers!
You’ll find a Travel Plans tab in the Account menu (once you’ve logged in). You can then simply add locations along with starting and ending dates. If you make a mistake or change your plans, you can just click REMOVE and that item will disappear.
Of course, this feature isn’t intended to indicate your availability (that’s too much for any photographer to maintain), it just shows your location.
