For the month of February, we ran a series of mini, week-long AdWords campaigns. For those of you thinking about running your own AdWords campaign, it is a really great way to get an idea of the specific phrases and terms that are being used to find your services, as each campaign lets you see search terms that led to your ad. Our objective with our campaigns this month was to gain valuable and intentional traffic rather than just gaining more exposure in general, so we created targeted keyword lists consisting of around 20-40 words per list.
The first campaign’s goal was to highlight our production services. The second was a more general campaign promoting our search tool. Our current campaign is targeting our specialty and location search options. You can check out the screen grab below:
So far, our AdWords have generated a total of 248 clicks and 53,922 impressions. We continue to study the data on each campaign and are able to adjust our keywords, copy, and negative keywords accordingly. (Negative keywords allow you to block certain searches from triggering your ad.) One of our favorite things about AdWords is that they let you constantly adjust your methods as you review your stats.
Check back next month to get a more in-depth look at how our campaign is going!
