Boston-based photographer Carl Tremblay wanted a fresh new web edit that could help him appeal to high-end clients around the country. He had heard nice things about working with us and decided to see if we could improve his own web portfolio. On Carl’s website, it was clear to see where his strengths lie: shooting kids, food, and lifestyle. Our goal was to capture this work along with his general storytelling abilities in the best way possible. With that in mind, Carl began assembling his most relevant, recent images for us to comb through.
After looking at the photos he compiled, his talent in shooting food and kids became even more apparent, but we noticed his lifestyle images leaned heavily towards travel. That helped form our choices on categories and organization. There were also several more journalistic, but equally sophisticated stories, which we felt did well to include as standalone projects.
We presented Carl with the edit, and he was so pleased with the arrangement and outcome that he wanted to continue working with us on a print portfolio. In order to create a more consolidated look, we made selections of Carl’s work that we felt fit together under a “travel” umbrella. This gave us the chance to include portraits, lifestyle, landscapes, and food, in addition to his travel stories. Carl loved the edit and used his existing binding: a beautiful stingray leather clamshell book from Mullenberg. Check out his finished book below:
Carl presented the book at NYCFotoworks, where he got a great response from clients.
