If Chad’s photography had a trait it would probably be labeled optimistic. Chad looks to capture the beautiful, the good in the world around us, and the people in it. It could be a pleasant smile, time shared between friends, the solace of a place. “I am a photographer because I want to create, share, elevate the production, and collaborate with others who have creative ideas. I photograph because it's my way of telling the story.” Chad continues to create content for national brands as well as many local and editorial clients. He lives in Minneapolis, MN with his wife and 3 children.
Chris’s stories often depict people's physical or mental fortitude combined with emotion and dynamic movement. His images bring stories to life with strong contrast and controlled lighting. Chris’s diverse skill has taken him from shooting in hailstorms in the UK, to recording the experiences of those affected by conflict in north-east Nigeria. His intimate storytelling makes people the agents of their own stories, and his eye-catching images have helped a wide range of national and international organisations tell their story to an international audience. Born in the United Kingdom, raised in South Africa during the last decade of apartheid, and a member of the LGBTQIA community, Chris has developed a powerful sense of how inequalities impact the human experience. He sees visual storytelling as the bridge between empathy and change. He believes photographers have a moral obligation to depict the stories they tell with dignity and that the enduring popularity of photography makes it one of the core mediums in creating a fairer world. In order to do that, it has to be anti-racist and focus on systemic solutions to the climate crisis.

Laura Chase de Formigny is a DC based editorial and commercial food photographer with a passion for capturing the place where food, life and story telling combine. With a background in photojournalism and time spent working as a staff photographer at the Annapolis Capital Gazette, it’s no surprise that she’s sought after for her strong editorial eye by restaurants, chefs, and clients like The Washington Post, AARP, NPR, Smithsonian Institute, and Science Magazine. When she’s not shooting an assignment or creating food libraries for her restaurant clients, you can find her expanding her commercial portfolio – most recently providing the photography for National Geographic’s Attainable Sustainable. Laura Chase has a B.A. in Studio Art from UNC Chapel Hill. After living and working in places like Charlotte, Chattanooga, Baltimore, and Belgium, she’s happy to call Silver Spring, Maryland home and enjoys spending family time with her husband and adorable children Henry and Frances!
