Tom Kubik

I’m from Youngstown, Ohio living in Los Angeles as a New York transplant. I’ve been a photographer since I quit dealing poker in Las Vegas, after I left my job as a spy plane mechanic in the Air Force. It took me a really long time to figure out that my gift in life is to witness others and what’s cool about photography is that I get to share people’s magic with you that they share with me. I don’t capture moments, I receive them from my subjects through presence and conversation. When I don’t have a camera you can find me teaching meditation in prisons, hanging out with people who inspire me (sometimes in prisons), passing out food on Skid Row, at an engaging dinner party, or screaming into a pillow when my toddler is pissing me off. To me, there’s nothing more special that what is created on my sets. We collaborate with amazing people. We have so much fun. We work our asses off. We exceed expectations. We make it look easy. I really hope I get to do that with you because it’s really what I live for.

Rocco Ceselin

I’m a lifestyle and portrait photographer from Italy, currently residing in Los Angeles. As a young boy I had a colorful vintage 1960s map of the United States above my bed. Each main region was represented with a little sketch or figure, very detailed, and I had dreams that one day I was going to be there and discover all those places myself. My passion for visual arts encouraged me to study graphic design and work as web designer in Italy. The opportunity became reality in 2002 when I moved from Italy and my journey started in San Francisco. In few years I ended up in various circumstances in the city of Angeles. The multicultural environment, the vibrant lifestyle and the excitement for embracing this new adventure of life has been my motivation for taking photographs. A passion I cultivated since I was a young teenager and has transformed my life and career. After lot of training and experience, I consider myself very fortunate.

Steven Simko

Steven began his photography career in London before moving to New York City where he landed on the pages of American Vogue shooting portraits of NYC’s movers and shakers. Nearly a decade later he moved to the West Coast where he now resides with his wife and their rescue dog, Frankie. When not shooting for his commercial and editorial clients, you can find Steven on the golf course or pursuing his personal photographic projects, including one called "Blues Sundays" documenting a weekly gathering of musicians in a backyard garage performing Blues Music.

Went to school, got bored then graduated. Lived in Mexico, fell in love, got drunk with a cartel hit man. Lived in Indian village, broke two ribs, lost all his money on a cock fight, got lost in a cave but now is found. Published widely acclaimed work. Made mama proud. Worked for newspapers. Victoria Wall Harris

Victoria Wall Harris is a commercial and editorial photographer and director, who’s favorite projects are those that combine stills and motion. Not bound by genre, her creative approach gives clients a way to tell their full brand story in a positive and truly cohesive style. She studied photography at the College of Charleston in South Carolina and from there moved to NYC to pursue her career. She worked as an assistant and digital tech for some of the industry’s top photographers and learned the ropes of full scale photo and motion production while honing her own creative skills and building a diverse client roster. After seven years in Brooklyn's WIlliamsburg, Victoria relocated to LA in 2012 where she launched her own business full time. In 2017, she opened a daylight photo studio in LA's Eagle Rock called Hilltop Studios.

I was born and raised in Southern California, and after living in San Francisco for 14 years, I was called back to the diverse and delicious lifestyle of Los Angeles. I was living and working as a lifestyle, portrait, and dance photographer in San Francisco after receiving my MFA in Photography from the Academy of Art. Tanit Sakakini

Named after a blood-thirsty goddess and raised by a troupe of traveling thespians, Los Angeles-based film & creative director, Tanit Sakakini, shapes what ABC’s City Line calls “elegantly irreverent” magical worlds. Sakakini works with brands, agencies, and other artists to develop ideas and give them form. The videos and stills on this website are projects she’s scripted, directed, or photographed. They’ve appeared in publications including Time, Newsweek, and Fast Company, and received distinguished recognition from Communication Arts, the Telly Awards, and the New York Photo Awards, among others. She directed her first videos for Fidelity Investments while an undergrad at Tufts University, and was introduced to the manic/magnetic world of filmmaking, working for Spike Lee’s 40 Acres and a Mule. Equal portions visual artist and writer, Sakakini worked in advertising as a copywriter for agencies including Landor and Euro RSCG, and some years earlier, won a purebred Arabian horse in a high school essay contest – her best-loved accolade to date.

Driven by a seemingly endless sense of adventure, Pat Nolan is an adventure, automotive and surf photographer with a passion for light. His portfolio features a diverse palette of work, ranging from snowy surf moments in the Atlantic Ocean to lifestyle and brand campaign visuals for names like Toyota, Red Bull and Rip Curl. Jayme Burrows

Jayme Burrows is a commercial and editorial photographer based out of Los Angeles, California. She is a foodie and a traveler. Jayme studied first at the University of California at Santa Barbara earning her B.A. in Art History and History. She then went on to study Visual Journalism at the Brooks Institute and eventually earned her MFA in Photography from Brooks as well. It is her training in fine art and journalism that still influence her commercial work today.

Patrick Strattner

Patrick was born in Nuremberg, Germany and grew up in a small town in Franconia. He studied photography and design at the Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences (FH Bielefeld), where he subsequently graduated. In 2011 he exchanged the urban setting of Berlin, where he lived and worked for several years, for the sunny beaches of Los Angeles, where he is currently based. Patrick loves working with real people in their natural surroundings and stages them in an authentic way. His conceptual still life work often encompasses a humorous commentary. He is the happiest when he is in the midst of creating a new series of images and enjoys every part of the process, from conception to execution.

I picked up a small piece of green sea glass. I tucked it tight into my pocket. The ocean represents adventure for me. It’s a place that accepts me right where I am. I love that it’s always changing; swelling and thinning. The ocean is a dream; it’s never the same thing twice. I wasn’t always in love with the ocean. I grew up in Los Angeles, but we didn’t visit the beach often as a family. The few times we did go, I remember being wrapped in tight under a towel, cranky and impervious to the tide and crashing waves. As I entered adulthood, I accepted a job near the sea. I remember once I called in sick and spent the whole day exploring Laguna Beach with my dogs at the time (Bear and Sandy). They darted out past me in search of a seal. They charged the waves and barked into the vastness of the ocean. It was in this simple moment that I felt a connection to the sea. The cold water, my dogs’ joy, the salty air, all of it swirled around me, and I was in love. That sea glass that I pocketed was a memento of a perfect day. I love diving into the water, camera in hand, ready to capture whatever the tide brings my way; sometimes it’s my youngest son who swims out with me, sometimes it’s a tangled piece of seaweed beautifully dancing in the sunlight, and sometimes if I’m lucky, it’s a majestic pod of whales. Jeff Peters

What did you want to be when you grew up? I almost became a Nuclear Engineer. Thankfully, after about a year of college physics and math, my creative brain cells wrestled control over the nerdy geek in me and pointed me to Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara. I still have a bit of that nerdy geek in me, but in a creative photographic way. The San Francisco Bay Area is where I landed after graduation and where I launched Vantage Point Photography. I love what I do. I love the process. I love creating images that cause people to pause, to look, to think and sometimes to smile. My other loves? My kids, our dog, a good hiking trail, and my SX 70 loaded with Polaroid film.

Barry Schwartz

Early experiences included a mercifully short career as a professional dishwasher and bus-boy at the Golden West House of Pancakes, a brief stint as an auto-glass technician, space sales for free monthlies in Santa Cruz, and in-home sales of kitchen cabinet refacing – worst job ever. Eventually became a general contractor and kitchen-and-bath designer until developing carpal tunnel syndrome, going back to my first love, photography. I feel a bond with designers and tradespeople and those who live with – and work in – what they make. I occasionally teach college classes and workshops on business practices for photographers. King also founded Built Films, an all-in-one, boutique production company initially focused on documenting large-scale commercial development, and has since grown into industries such as agriculture and manufacturing.
