Rebecca Stumpf is a full-time editorial photographer specializing in travel, portraiture and documentary photography. Her passion in telling visual stories lies in understanding the connection between people and nature – how they are inspired by it and the greater world around them; how they work with it; how they connect with it; how they experience it; and the creative space between the two.
Hello and thanks for stoping by!
I’m an editorial and commercial photographer based out of Nashville, TN. I grew up in Louisville, KY and it will always be my home. Because of that I’m partial to bourbon, horses, and baseball bats.
When not working I enjoy exploring Nashville with my wife, playing the guitar, buying records, or planning my next big trip.
I love my job not only because I get to create something new everyday, but I get to meet new people and connect with them on something more than just what’s on the surface.
So let’s make a connection. Tell me your story!
Born 1970 in Southern Germany. Studied Photography and English at UC Berkeley in 1991, and Photography at Fachhochschule Bielefeld 1992-1998.
I am fascinated by genuine places and situations – in my personal projects as well as commercial work. I love working with real people in their natural surroundings and to present them in an authentic, lively way. My focus lies on people, portraiture, cars and documentary photography.
Hi… Clark here. I’m a people and location specialist based in small town Maryland; but my sense of adventure, and thankfully my clients, take me pretty much anywhere and everywhere. I cut my teeth in the still photography world where I thrive, and more recently I’ve developed my talent as a filmmaker & director. In addition to enjoying the people and exploration, one of my favorite parts of the process is pairing strong visuals & powerful moments with the soundscape that plays in my mind. I’m a huge fan of road trips, backroads, and getting lost. When I’m not working I like to ride my bikes, spend time in the mountains, or stare at a map and find a new place to get lost. I’ve been blessed to have been doing this gig for quite a while, but my dad still wants to know what I’m going to do when I grow up. I’m still hopeful that I won’t have to.
At Dean Lavenson Photography, Dean brings an utter passion to the set. He is a master with light and an absolute perfectionist. He is as giddy about photography today as when he was a student. And with that passion comes with over 25 years of experience. After graduating from Brooks Institute of Photography and freelancing in L.A. for a few years, Dean relocated his family from Santa Barbara, California to Louisville in 1989. He’s still trying to figure out how that happened. All he remembers is a big yellow Ryder truck with a matching yellow ’73 VW Bug in tow and his wife, Dianne, crying across every state line. Dean still dreams about the beach, but over the years he’s grown to love Louisville. As for how Dean first got started with a camera? Now that’s a long story. Let’s just say, he was on his way to becoming the next Wynton Marsellis. Lucky for Mr. Marsellis, Dean ended up in Beginning Photography as a high school senior. Ask him in person and he’ll give you the looooong version.
I’m interested in the human experience. In our rush to the end in search of perfection, we often overlook the things right in front of us. The everyday and banal can be more beautiful than the glamorous, and the imperfect often holds more meaning than flawless. Start with why dare to be authentic, and never settle for anything less than excellence.
I’m a Los Angeles based portrait and lifestyle photographer living and working on both coasts. I love collaborating with people and being thrown into different situations. There is a unique story behind every face and I rely on those unexpected details to make images that are as special as the people. With the help of great crew, we strive to make magic happen for all of my clients. When I’m not making pictures I’m training for marathons or playing ice hockey to stay healthy, sane and inspired.
Home base is currently the Eagle Rock neighborhood of North East LA where I live with my wife, daughter, large cat and Guinea Pig.
Based in Vancouver, Noel Hendrickson is an internationally recognized commercial photographer. He lives on the mountain in Vancouver with his beautiful wife Christine, son Finn and their two pugs Phil and Allan.
Grew up on an island – still lives on one. Has proudly helped
raise three amazing children. Loves challenging work.
Doesn’t get rattled. Loves negative space and positive people.
Visualizes every moment of his life, which he considers a bit
of a curse – except when working. Started out as a marine
biologist. Creates innocent slice of life imagery or production
intensive shoots. Over the years has worked from camera cars,
helicopters, camera boats, rigged remotes, scaffolds, cranes,
floating in the middle of the ocean – and his own two legs.
Working out of South Florida, Robert also has a full production company to support his still and director work. He has done major shoots
for Coca-Cola, Budweiser, Yamaha, Ford, Cigna, as well as
extensive shooting for marine, tourism, recreation, health care, home & garden
and pharmaceutical clients. One of his strengths is simultaneous still and motion productions.
I’m based out of Phoenix, Arizona but my work frequently takes me nationally and internationally. Most of my inspiration for the type of photography I’ve come to love is derived from my varied past. I grew up in a remote area of the Rocky Mountains where I then chose to backpack around the world, attend college at Columbia University in New York – where I lived for nearly 10 years – and have lived in HI, CA and NM. While Phoenix is where I currently reside, I always go back to the rural mountains of Colorado as my home. And also the South of France. I really like the South of France.

Hi. I’m Josh, a freelance commercial, editorial, and portrait photographer based in Rhode Island.
For the last ten years or so, I’ve been lucky enough to make a living taking photos of interesting people, places, and things.
A while back, I read a really great quote from Jeff Bridges, which I think sums up my approach to photography (and life, I guess): I prefer authenticity to perfection.

One of the best parts of being a photographer is all the great people I get to meet along the way. Whether I am photographing sports and fitness, lifestyle, or corporate, its always about making a connection.
I love collaborating and working together to bring an idea to life. I believe in planning every detail but also know how to deal with the unexpected when it arises. I’m based out of the DC area but always up for traveling to where the shot is needed.
Buff is a commercial and editorial photographer who shoots lifestyle, food, interiors and kids. She has 20 years of experience shooting for clients across the country on both big and small productions.
Buff was born and raised in Texas and has been taking pictures as long as she can remember. She spent all her free time in high school photographing her friends and in the darkroom. Buff’s undergraduate degree drew her to a career in advertising in San Francisco where she was able to work with some amazing photographic talent and continue her photography studies at UC Berkeley. She was inspired to quit her day job after a soul searching road trip and has never looked back.
Buff’s passion for photography brought her to New York in 2000. Buff is energized creatively by the variety of work she’s asked to shoot and capturing moments that are personal and authentic in her subjects. In 2011 Buff, her husband and son George moved their home base to Austin. But she finds herself back in NYC shooting for clients and visiting family and friends as often as possible.
I first fell in love with photography in the mountains. In my early twenties, I spent a lot of time traveling and playing in the outdoors, skiing, mountain biking, kayaking, and especially mountaineering. It’s also where I learned how to tell a good story. Before becoming a professional photographer, I worked for years as an editor and travel writer for magazines like Outside, Men’s Journal and Adbusters. I live in a more visual world now, but my journalistic instincts remain intact, and continue to inform my style as a photographer. I’m still chasing good stories. I just do it with my camera now. I believe there is an inherent truth in discovered moments. That the best images are both honest and believable. Creating a powerful narrative with a distinct visual character requires meticulous planning and attention to detail, a willingness to take risks, the ability to fluidly direct dynamic sequences, and the confidence to improvise and let scenes unfold naturally. My goal is to create images that don’t just feel real, but are real. How I achieve that goal may vary from shoot to shoot, but my motivation is always the same: To curate a campaign of visually distinct images that not only get it right technically, but also hit you in the gut emotionally.
