Analytics data for August 2018 show an overall increase in visitors from the same period last year, with a 5.63% increase to 18,875 sessions from 17,869 sessions last August. We saw an upward trend in number of users as well, up 10.77% to 12,990 for the month. We also observed continued trends with a decrease in sessions per user and overall pageviews (54,339 vs. 57,397 last year).
The geographic breakdown shows that other countries outside the United States pulled ahead slightly this month, with approximately 59% of visitors coming from the U.S., while India (5%), the U.K. (4.2%), Canada (3.5%), and Australia (2.3%) round out the top spots.
Our Member Blog received 10,029 views this month, a substantial increase (32%) over the previous year, led by our Expert Advice articles on the Photographer’s Bio and Finding a Rep. The Client Blog received 4,356 views, a 15% decrease over the previous year.

While the Wonderful Machine blog saw reduced traffic since last year, it is up approximately 22% since last month, to 4,356 views this August.
Photographer search results were down from 8,200 in 2017 to 7,638 this period. Although the total number of searches was down, this does reflect a similar percentage of overall traffic (14.06% this period vs. 14.29% last year). Our member photographers received a total of 12,150 profile views which put the average number of profile views a month at 17.87. With an average of 8.35 click throughs per photographer, the click-through rate for this month was 47% (compared to 40.1% for July).
