Our research and outreach teams jumped into May with both feet, making meaningful connections for our photographers. The publications, brands, and agency teams worked tirelessly calling, emailing, and setting up meetings with creatives around the globe.
Publications: Meli and Claire hit the books hard, reaching out to hundreds of publications and scoring meetings for our photographers. Claire finalized her research for independent publications and focused on targeting her efforts towards regional magazines and newspapers. Together, Claire and Meli sent a total of 422 emails and made 266 phone calls, resulting in 4 meetings and 63 connections with clients.
One of the connections was with a photo editor at the Wall Street Journal, who was really excited about new Wonderful Machine photographer, Sivan Askayo.

Brands: In the month of May, Julia and Morgan continued to plug away at making connections with brands, but in addition to their usual outreach efforts, Morgan focused on adding to our growing database. Working from a list of some of the largest and most profitable companies, she added 88 new companies and 93 new individuals. Between the two of them, they sent out individualized emails to 252 prospects, followed up with 199 phone calls and made connections with 55 potential clients.

Agencies: Sean and Alex forged ahead, reaching out to agencies around the country. They were able to send out 297 emails, followed up by 235 phone calls, and scheduled 7 meetings for our photographers to share their work. Of the 55 connections they made, they were able to personally recommend a number of photographers for specific projects. They’ve got a good slate of meetings scheduled for June, and are looking forward to sharing some fantastic work!
