In our efforts to promote our photographers for one-on-one meetings with our clients during our outreach process, I was thrilled to have received a response from the photo assistant of The New York Times Magazine, who showed great interest in meeting with Beacon, NY photographer Eva Deitch.
After reaching out to Eva with the wonderful news about her meeting, she was ready to jump on board and create a twenty-five-page print portfolio to present some of her strongest work. When working with her on the preparation for her meeting, I learned that this would be her first in-person client meeting with a portfolio book, so the excitement was very real for both of us. Eva decided that the best way to approach her edit would be to curate a narrative that would include an assortment of images from various galleries from her body of work.
After Eva made her image selects (in record time), she picked out a sleek 11 x 17 white screwpost binder from Pina Zangaro and had it shipped directly to our office the very next day. The turnaround was incredibly quick, as photo editors Stacy and Victoria had only two short days to print, dry, and assemble. We printed her images using Moab’s Lasal Photo Matte 235 double-sided paper, which is pre-punched and scored, resulting in a polished and professional portfolio presentation.
With our team effort, we managed to get her portfolio book shipped on time for her meeting the following week.
Eva’s response to receiving her portfolio was everything we had hoped for:
It’s here and I’m in love! Man o’ man, it’s so special to see these in print and bigger than the computer screen. The paper and printing quality is gorgeous and you took such care in assembling.
I feel proud to show this off. Thanks for your speedy service and support!
