This month we decided to advertise on both Facebook and Google AdWords since both have performed well in the past for us in terms of clicks to our website.
Our Facebook ad used 1/4 of our budget for the month with the intention of driving ad agency traffic to our site. The ad featured a dreamy photo—taken at White Sands National Monument in southern New Mexico—from Chicago-based lifestyle and travel photographer Lucy Hewett paired with our search tagline, “Find What You’re Looking For.”

It was targeted at creatives ages 21-60 in the US, UK, and Canada. You can see how we narrowed down our audience by their “interests” in this screenshot:

Our Google AdWords campaign focused on general photography keywords. Overall, the campaign saw 1,442 clicks and 166,023 impressions. That’s about a .87% click-through rate. See the full stats below:
