With billions of active users across the globe, social media platforms have become a goldmine of data and insights, enabling businesses to understand their audience better and with that understand what kind of content will perform better. It’s important to bear in mind that social media is a continually evolving industry and demands continuous attention and online presence to keep pace with its developments.
When it comes to the most engaging content on our Social Media Platforms, videos and photographs were the most popular, with Instagram being the platform of choice for photographs and YouTube being the top choice for videos. Using polls in Instagram stories appears to be a great way to gain insights into how our audience is responding to our content. It can also help identify what content resonates most with the followers.

The majority of our social media platforms gave the gift of progress in their respective algorithms this holiday season. Let’s take a closer look at how we performed on each one.
Most of our platforms thrived in May, while others seemed to tread water. Pageviews went down for LinkedIn but increased on Twitter, with 2,254 more profile visits than the previous month.
Our Pinterest content peaked during the holidays (thanks gingerbread house enthusiasts!) while some of our other socials felt a bit of a chill in December.
As per usual, our Pinterest is thriving, Instagram holding strong, and LinkedIn steadily growing. However, our presence on Facebook and Twitter is more volatile than ever.
Wonderful Machine’s social media efforts remained relatively steady, with the exception of our Instagram that now has 15k followers. Our other platforms continue to grow.
Our social media promotion picked up steam in February, especially on Pinterest, and we had success getting our member photographers’ work out there on all platforms. Take a look at some of our most popular posts from the past few weeks.
