Antoine Doyen was born in 1982 in Nancy, France. As he was getting bored in University in 2005, he dropped out of Sociology so he could fly to West Africa and see what kind of movies where shot and watched there. What should have been a scientific study became a series of images that brought him to photography as a job; he never showed up in class ever again. Back in France, the newspaper "Metro" sent him on assignment to the Cannes Film Festival: that's how he gets into portrait, by chance. He then enrolls in a photojournalism class at the EMI-CFD (Paris). He works on assignment for a variety of news outlets (Le Monde, L'Express, Le Parisien Magazine, Les Echos, Studio Cine Live, The Wall Street Journal…) and communication agencies. First a portrait photographer, he also ventures in the long-format realm, currently documenting tractor pulling competitions… and the life of catholic priests. In any case, the subject that matters is commitment & passion.
My name is Greg. I grew up in the South. I never say no to black coffee and chess pie. I know a little bit about a lot of stuff. Like how to tie a bowline, when to prune a rose bush and what makes a tasty rub. I like to pan-fry, sautee, bake, roast and grill whatever I can get my hands on. I married a woman who likes fast cars. Together, we have a couple of kids, a couple of dogs and a trailerful of outdoor gear that is mostly mine. I love my job because I get to meet people from all walks of life. I’ve photographed truck drivers, crabbers, mariachi and linemen. Robot makers, whiskey makers, fridge makers and nut pickers. Professional wrestlers, UN ambassadors, hall-of-famers and polka enthusiasts. Surgeons, CEOs, Air Force One pilots and brewers. Every person I frame up with my camera gives me a little more insight and a broader understanding of what it means to be a person living a life on this planet. Whether I'm telling the stories of real people or working with casting agents to gather the group you like, you can bet I’ll connect with whomever we have on the other side of my camera. Gimme a call and let’s go make some pictures!
My career began the day that my father gave me my very first reflex camera in 1983. Having grown up in the newspaper business I was introduced to black & white photography as a kid. I studied to become a graphic designer/art director never loosing the passion for photography. Many years later I found myself living and working in Madrid, Spain as an art director for Young & Rubicam. It was then I new that I wanted to become a full time photographer. Having gone to art school and not photography school, consequently composing in camera for an ex-art director is easy. As a result I really like to create dramatic, quirky, cinematic look and feel in my visuals, be it photography or video. In contrast each project is a new experience, for me and for those choosing to entrust me the task. My work philosophy aims at quality, ongoing research and empathy. Of course work is a serious matter but smile is always On, the approach is always proactive and constructive and the client’s trust is my first goal and the greatest satisfaction.
Jenn Ackerman and Tim Gruber are a husband and wife team based in Minneapolis, MN. Their images are full of life and color. Simply put we are storytellers. We enjoy the collaborative nature of being a tight-knit team and pushing each other to create images that sing. Our goal on every assignment is simple – evoke emotion and authenticity in every image we make. We believe you can’t forget what you feel so we try to make images that make you feel something. We pride ourselves in connecting with everyone we photograph. Whether you are a 10-year-old or a CEO, we find something to relate to with everyone and in turn we come away with something that is genuine and meaningful. We can’t tell you how many times people have told us that it was the best experience they have ever had with a photographer. We pride ourselves in being kind and making sure everyone has that experience. Our work has been honored by the Communication Arts Photography Annual and Advertising Annual 2009, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2019, American Photography 28, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, PDN Photo Annual, CENTER Project Competition, Photolucida’s Critical Mass, Inge Morath Award, Magnum Expression Award, POYi, and many others. At Dean Lavenson Photography, Dean brings an utter passion to the set. He is a master with light and an absolute perfectionist. He is as giddy about photography today as when he was a student. And with that passion comes with over 25 years of experience. After graduating from Brooks Institute of Photography and freelancing in L.A. for a few years, Dean relocated his family from Santa Barbara, California to Louisville in 1989. He’s still trying to figure out how that happened. All he remembers is a big yellow Ryder truck with a matching yellow ’73 VW Bug in tow and his wife, Dianne, crying across every state line. Dean still dreams about the beach, but over the years he’s grown to love Louisville. As for how Dean first got started with a camera? Now that’s a long story. Let’s just say, he was on his way to becoming the next Wynton Marsellis. Lucky for Mr. Marsellis, Dean ended up in Beginning Photography as a high school senior. Ask him in person and he’ll give you the looooong version.

Growing up in a central Pennsylvania rural farm community, I was surrounded by mountains and fields, not a lot of architecture or design. Very common central Pennsylvania farm and coal community homes and design. From a young age I always had a fascination with drawing and seeing things in a unique way. I also loved building and creating things with my hands. All the while following my Dad around the yard with a saw, hammer, and plastic push mower was a common thing. As I grew, my interests turned to more creative aspects and included drafting, and being an integral part of my schools’ arts department. It’s there where my love for design and photography opened up. Once I enrolled in art school, at the Pennsylvania College of Art & Design, my love and passion for photography took hold. After becoming establishing in the wedding and portrait photography business, I branched out to discover new areas of photography. It was then, that I rediscovered my love for design and architecture. I am always looking and studying; books, buildings and designers. It’s not uncommon to see me scouring through interior design and architectural magazines for new and interesting ideas on how to see space in our three-dimensional world. I love collaborating with other creatives, designers, architects and engineers. To me collaboration is a must in the creative process as it can help in solving problems in the moment.

Born in Switzerland, DANIEL HAGER is a Zurich based photographer, director and cinematographer. He likes to be outdoors. Loves cities, remote valleys and a good coffee. I don’t enjoy talking or writing about myself; I like my photographs to do that for me. Yet I know it is helpful for those reviewing my body of work to know a little about me and how I approach my profession. The photo I’ve elected to include of me is from my first visit to Poland at the age of 10. My Ciocia Nusia bought me my first camera, igniting a curiosity that has matured over time and experience but remains the cornerstone of my approach to my work. Photography has provided me with the opportunity to work with subjects and attend events that I would otherwise have missed, thereby enriching my professional and personal lives. I love the creative side of photography and each year complete independent photographic projects so I continue to learn and never become complacent. My goal is to help such organizations develop their voice. When working with clients, I firmly believe collaboration is important to ensure the product is of the highest quality, meets the clients’ needs and desires, and is delivered in a timely manner. No matter what size a project is, I pride myself in doing whatever it takes to get a great product. My clients range from Loyola Hospital, BusinessWeek, DDB, Supercuts, Northwestern University, Forbes, Follett of Higher Learning, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois, BlackWell Consulting, First Health, Harley Davidson, GTCR, Simple Truth, Allstate and Apple, Inc.

Miami-based photographer, Sonya Revell, creates imagery that emerges from her delightful daydreams of dazzling candy colors and connects closely with complex and compelling characters. Also, she is a fan of alliteration. While she now calls Florida home, Sonya originally hails from the great state of Kentucky (can you tell from the picture?), where she attended the same high school as Muhammad Ali. Sonya considers eating ice cream a hobby and was once struck by lightning (indirectly, but it was still quite shocking). While Revell still fantasizes about running off to join the circus or perhaps becoming a race car driver, the truth is, nothing tops image making.
I love my job, so much it doesn't feel like a job. Still can't believe I get to make photos for a living. Favorites photos? Ones that are equal parts pretty and useful. Favorites shoots? Ones that involve a scrappy crew and client, where by the end it feels a bit like summer camp did, a bit weird to say goodbye to the people your life has revolved around for days, but we all leave feeling accomplished as a team. Favorite subject? People of any age! Though I do love a good detail, an enticing dish, or anything that helps tell a story and inviting. Background? Born in Florida, childhood summers in California, and thrice Texas transplant (once for college, once for work, and once for hubs.) Liberal arts degree in history; various jobs after college that made photography seem like the best career in the world; married with kids; owner of one seriously adorable and ornery dog; and a "human pinball" technically residing in Austin, TX, though frequently found in Florida or in a window seat headed elsewhere.

Born and raised in the Midwest. I first became interested in the arts in high school. This is where I began my creative journey and first felt what it was like to create something entirely your own. I started my BFA with a focus on painting, though that quickly shifted into digital media. I have always been interested in and drawn to technology’s advances as well as their origins. I then started to explore sculpture and how different types of digital media could play a role in three-dimensional work. My work shifted into building my cameras while merging traditional and new photographic processes. Upon graduation, my passion for photography grew as I learned more about lighting and started to develop my photographic style.

I might start this with: “Andy Cannon is a people-focused lifestyle and adventure, commercial photographer.” I say that I combining brands, people and stunning natural landscapes to create imagery that resonates and has an emotional impact on the viewer. Through grewing up travelling, and later working as an expedition leader, I had the opportunity to visit and work in many remote, challenging and beautiful locations where I met people and learnt to connect with them through visual magic and gestures and laughter. Doing so helped me develop an understanding for human emotion, authenticity and story that I take with me as visual story teller. When we work together, I look forward to blending our creativity and connection to take your brand, your story, your idea and create something breath-taking. I’ve put together several small teams and utilising make-up artists, hair stylists, models, stylists, videographers and underwater photographers, so if you’ve got something big in mind drop me a message. I live between Tenerife and Barcelona, but will follow a great idea anywhere.
