European renowned photographer Mikel Muruzabal covers the entire range of advertising and commercial photography, from brand narrative and clever still life pictures to striking ad campaigns or fashion shootings. His specialty is composing photography with photorealistic CGI and other digital and manual techniques in a truly singular way; it is what makes his body of work unique and original, along with his own style and expertise after a whole life creating images. The studio he runs works for an array of great brands, agencies and publishing houses in all kind of markets across Europe. Their projects has been published in quality books and magazines from Phaidon, AD Architectural Digest, Vogue Spain, Neo2 and others, and featured many times at top creative websites such as Fubizz, Behance, Trendland, Fucking Young or AdWeek Talent to name a few.
In both my personal and commercial projects, What interests me stays the same- convey stories, breathe life into concepts and externalize emotions through conceptual and sometimes surreal images. I do commercial photography for Ad agencies, magazines, brands, artists and private companies. In my personal project, “The Surrealistic Pillow,” I fuse the real with the surreal, creating dream-inspired tableaus from images of my imagination. The series is a result of a ten year quest to catalog these fragments, it’s been featured in art fairs and exhibitions around the world, including London, Brussels, Spain and Germany. These images are created using careful camera work, computer editing and intricately layered individual components.
