Growing up in a small southern town, the Marine Corps became my ticket to see the world. My call sign was “The Photographer” as I documented everything; cultural sites and heads of state to local people in remote villages. I was constantly learning, absorbing, and inspired by the beauty of life and captured every detail.
As a photographer, I am constantly collecting memories, visual references, and experiences that fuel my concepts and ideas. From large-scale productions to streamlined minimalist studio portraits, I love the complexity of a big idea and the refinement of simple elegance. It is my job to tell a story that evokes desire, that compels emotion, and reveals the beautiful diversity of life.
I have a pretty simple life. I like traveling, coffee, and laughing. . . ideally, all at once. I live on a small farm in Ireland, where my partner Olivia and I have an animal sanctuary. I was first handed an old Kodak Brownie camera at age 10. I went on to college where I studied photography and graduated at the top of my class. After a handful of photo jobs, I stumbled into producing. With its fast-paced creativity and non-stop action in captivating images, the advertising world swept me right off my feet. In my years in this industry, I’ve worked as a photographer, director and producer for clients like Sony, Cadillac, Honda, Bushmills, HP and IBM. I’ve organized and executed photo and video shoots for everything from food and yoga to homes, cars, and aerospace. If you can think of it, I’ve put a shoot together for it. After all this time, I’ve realised why I truly love what I do; I love people’s stories, and the chance to help tell those stories. And I especially love telling those stories using visual media, which brings depth and dimension to a narrative like nothing else.

Born in Dallas, TX, I retain the Southern charm and politeness which eases the minds of models and my team on set. My interest in photography began when film photography was king. Following a year at GA Tech for Computer Engineering and several more years finding myself, I returned to school for Fashion Photography in Chicago. There, I honed my skills, fell in love with digital photography, and learned to shoot with purpose.
Since moving to NYC, I have continued to experiment and grow as an artist. I love to tell visual stories through my unique perspective. My aesthetic leans towards polished and stylized. I have a mastery of natural and artificial light as well as an ability to transform a space into a place not fully recognizable.
I also learned the role of Digital Tech in the fast-paced world of e-commerce. Tasks included building shot lists, camera & computer support, backups with Chronosync, and processing of files.
My ideal job is to photograph fashion and beauty campaigns for trendy and upscale brands; using my skills to benefit brands by elevating their aesthetic, creating timeless and artistic moments.
Outside of photography, I am passionate about good food, stimulating conversation, great television, and modern art. I have also been told I excel at dad jokes and terrible, terrible puns.

Since I can remember I’ve been a builder. When I was a kid I used to save all the cardboard in our house to make toys with. From cereal boxes to toilet paper rolls I would collect it all and make the most elaborate, functional play things.
As a grew up my materials expanded and my inventions became more complex and detailed. When I got to college I picked up my first serious camera and I fell in love with the manual nature of its functionality. I loved the process it took to actually create an image.
I’m a maker and when it comes to making images the precision, thought, and shaping that goes into my shots is what I love about this work. Whether I’m shaping light, the creative concept, or the final color in post-production every piece of the assembly is essential in the final construction of an image that tells the whole story.
I hope you enjoy what you find and I would be honored to build images for you that are shaped by this unique way of creating. If you have questions or would like to know more about how I can help your business please reach out.

My interest in product photography began with shooting “portraits” of fruits and veggies. During this time, I started mentoring under Roger DiFiore in Tucson. This helped me refine technical aspects of photography.
I tend to favor making images that are rather sparse with perhaps a touch of humor. The process of transforming a product using light is endlessly fun. Seeing the glow of liquid through a bottle or the texture come alive on a toy is what motivates me.
I begin the process of product photography by talking with clients in order to understand their needs. The more details I can get, the better. I may ask for sample images to get a clearer idea of the look wanted. Next, I write a quote based on this information.
I like to stay in close communication once photography has begun, sending proofs to the client along the way. For me, this is one of the most important parts of the process.
