With a specialized focus on capturing the essence of product, food, and lifestyle, my expertise lies in crafting captivating images for advertising and editorial purposes. Whether I'm working within the controlled environment of a studio or exploring the captivating play of natural light in the Western landscape, my goal remains the same — to bring your vision to life through my lens. Beyond the lens, I'm a firm believer in the power of personal connections. So, why not meet for a cup of coffee? Let's discuss the exciting possibilities that lie ahead and explore the potential of collaborating on your next project. Together, we can create visual narratives that resonate with your audience and leave a lasting impact. Thank you for visiting, and I look forward to connecting with you soon!
I am a versatile photographer who excels in both studio and location shoots. With a keen eye for color and light, I consistently deliver fresh and dynamic perspectives to each project I undertake. I take pride in collaborating with clients and pushing creative boundaries to produce exceptional results. My creative focus for photography developed while studying art in college, and I knew then that I wanted to turn this passion into a career. I honed my craft in the publishing industry, working at top-tier publications including New York Magazine, Vanity Fair, GQ, and Departures. These experiences have instilled in me a strong sense of creative direction that I bring to every shoot.
Hi. I’m Julia. For as long as I can remember, I’ve told stories through images, from my childhood in Vermont, through college at Smith, where I majored in art history, and beyond. My extensive photography education includes stints at the SALT Center for Documentary Studies, attendance at the prestigious Eddie Adams workshop, and Review Santa Fe at Center. My career in photography began with Literacy Through Photography at the Center for Documentary Studies, after which I landed a job as assistant photo editor at Outside Magazine. For more than a decade I worked in magazines; following Outside I served as photo editor for Skiing and Backpacker. In 2011, I became a full time photographer, and my clientele ranges from Vegetarian Times to US Potato Board.
Rick Souders is an honors graduate from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. Rick's unique creative and business background has allowed him to work at a Fortune 250 Beverage Company, then to one of the largest Advertising Agencies in the US, to owning one of America’s top food and beverage Studios. In his own words: I grew up in the rural high plains near the Pawnee National Grasslands. Yes, very rural. My mom worked at a portrait studio and my dad, amongst many things, was a professional leather artist and taught leather craft. So, I lived in a very creative and inspiring atmosphere. Growing up in a small town allowed me to raise chickens, rabbits, and pheasants and have many pets including toads, tarantulas, possums and a raccoon. My passion for food and agriculture runs deep. I appreciate where our food comes from and I think that has played an important role in my love of food and beverage photography. Today I live on the Studio property in a beautiful environmentally friendly ranch home. Other quirky things include a degree in Taxidermy and my 1967 Bentley.
Shannon O'Hara grew up on the campus of Tougaloo College in Tougaloo, Mississippi, where his father is an art professor while his mother taught art at the Mississippi School of the Arts. A chronic daydreamer, Shannon left his home at 16 to pursue his dream of becoming a professional ballet dancer, a passion that eventually earned him a job as a dancer with the Houston Ballet, the nation's fourth largest company. A similar passion later carried him to New York, where he spent 10 years working and studying photography on his own and at the International Center of Photography and The School of Visual Arts. He furthered his professional education in photography by assisting some of New York's top photographers, including legendary Magnum master Bruce Davidson and renowned food and travel photographer Ben Fink. Shannon has returned to Houston with his wife and daughter to explore the life and culture that he left so long ago.
My name is Ben Sassani and I have a little infatuation with Texas BBQ and Big Bend National Park. I grew up with BBQ in Texas, but fell in love with the craft style BBQ in 2014. Since then I’ve traveled all around the country from New York to LA eating all types of BBQ (Texas-style mainly) and making friends with the pitmasters the ones responsible for making the amazing food. My love for portraits has led me to doing portraits of folks in the BBQ community accompanied with stories from them on BBQ Confessional. My love for West Texas and Big Bend has led me to doing landscapes, cityscapes, and nightscapes around the country. I appreciate everyone who has supported me throughout this journey and hope to keep doing all this for a long time to com.

Buff is a commercial and editorial photographer who shoots lifestyle, food, interiors and kids. She has 20 years of experience shooting for clients across the country on both big and small productions. Buff was born and raised in Texas and has been taking pictures as long as she can remember. She spent all her free time in high school photographing her friends and in the darkroom. Buff's undergraduate degree drew her to a career in advertising in San Francisco where she was able to work with some amazing photographic talent and continue her photography studies at UC Berkeley. She was inspired to quit her day job after a soul searching road trip and has never looked back. Buff's passion for photography brought her to New York in 2000. She traveled extensively shooting for clients such as Travel and Leisure, Gourmet, House Beautiful, Body and Soul, Parents, Hyperion, Time Inc. and Coastal Living. Buff is energized creatively by the variety of work she's asked to shoot and capturing moments that are personal and authentic in her subjects. In 2011 Buff, her husband and son George moved their home base to Austin. But she finds herself back in NYC shooting for clients and visiting family and friends as often as possible.
As a child, Phil was always exploring with friends, running through backyards, hopping fences, and riding bikes all over Kansas City. The only thing missing was a camera. Studying film at Columbia College Chicago, he became awakened by the craft of visual story telling. The creative experience reminded him of youthful play. An internship with Dennis Manarchy showed him the fast paced world of commercial film production. Eager for more experience, he moved to NYC where received an MFA in Photography from the School of Visual Arts. He then began shooting food, most notably for the New York Times. Next was Austin, where he assisted and traveled with the brilliant Dan Winters, a fortunate experience which prepared him with the necessary tools to explore the craft of photography. Phil Kline is now a commercial and editorial photographer who shoots portraits and still life. Conceptual humor is not only seen in the work but also displayed in his on set spirit. He’s just fun to work with!

I love my job, so much it doesn't feel like a job. Still can't believe I get to make photos for a living. Favorites photos? Ones that are equal parts pretty and useful. Favorites shoots? Ones that involve a scrappy crew and client, where by the end it feels a bit like summer camp did, a bit weird to say goodbye to the people your life has revolved around for days, but we all leave feeling accomplished as a team. Favorite subject? People of any age! Though I do love a good detail, an enticing dish, or anything that helps tell a story and inviting. Background? Born in Florida, childhood summers in California, and thrice Texas transplant (once for college, once for work, and once for hubs.) Liberal arts degree in history; various jobs after college that made photography seem like the best career in the world; married with kids; owner of one seriously adorable and ornery dog; and a "human pinball" technically residing in Austin, TX, though frequently found in Florida or in a window seat headed elsewhere.
A product of two blue collar families from western Maryland, it seemed pretty likely that I was not going to escape a little hard work. Growing up outside Washington, DC, much of life was spent outdoors. Lucky for me, I had a Dad that practically lived outdoors, following him out the door to find something worth pursuing, building or taking apart was not a problem. In middle school, I began to draw and nature became my subject. Sometime late in high school, my interest gradually turned to photography. Full of enthusiasm, uncertainty and encouragement from my teachers, I headed to college to become a graphic designer. Two years into my graphic design education, I switched to photography and graduated with a BFA in Photography from the University of Maryland, I soon found myself in Florida where I’ve been shooting on my own since 1992. Looking through a viewfinder has always been a way to quiet the noise in my head and given the choice between an aisle seat and a window, I will always choose the window.
I am an editorial and commercial photographer living and working in Austin, Texas with my husband and sweet daughters. At 13 I took my first darkroom class at the Southwest Center of Arts and Crafts in San Antonio. The moment I watched an image appear in the developer I knew that there was magic in photography and I wanted to know everything about that magic. I graduated in photography at the top of my class at St. Edward’s University where I learned how to be an artist from compassionate and beautiful teachers.
Originally from Manchester, UK, I'm currently based in Austin, Texas. I consider much of the work I do to be about storytelling – perhaps because I come from a writing background. This is true not only of my environmental portraits, but also of the branding imagery I've produced for a range of clients, from the AI geniuses at Hypergiant, to global corporations like Accenture and Rack Space. If I have a guiding philosophy, it is that the best work invariably comes from a place of authentic connection and engagement. PARTIAL CLIENT LIST: Accenture / Hypergiant / Rackspace / Pentagram / GYK Antler / British Airways / Environmental Defense Fund / Volusion / ESO / OJO Labs / Michael Hsu Office of Architecture / The New York Times / The Guardian / Texas Monthly / Newsweek / Fast Company /British Airways High Life / Food & Wine Magazine / D Magazine / Imbibe / Sift / Austin Monthly
EVERYONE HAS A STORY TO TELL. And being a storyteller at heart, Eric has an eye for crafting visual narratives with authenticity, emotion, and a sense of place. Along side his distinctive food, beverage, and lifestyle work, Eric is adept at capturing the essentials of a well-rounded travel or brand story such as portraiture, interiors, and landscape photography. And with an affinity for working on location, he's as comfortable photographing cowboys at dawn on a Texas ranch or donning a wetsuit to capture commercial fishery action, as he is shooting beautifully plated food in an upscale restaurant. Additionally, his 20+ year background in branding, graphic design and web development help him visualize the end result of a photoshoot, as well as develop the story flow and shot list. Eric is based in the Texas Hill Country, near Austin and San Antonio and is available for travel across the state and beyond.
When someone asks what I do I tell them I’m a photographer. The next question inevitably is "what kind of photographer?" Well, that's a little tricky because I love shooting everything. It could be a national advertising campaign on location for Marriott Hotels in Mexico or shooting food in my full service 3000 sq. ft. studio for Publix or Boar's Head. Also, It might be filming a TV spot in the Dominican Republic for Iberostar Hotels and lets not forget the family who I like to shoot while I'm on vacation. So you might say it doesn't matter if it's real people, talent, stills or video, personal or for hire. I love capturing the moment that I’m in. Of course, none of this can be done without working with the best people in the industry: Talent agencies, producers, assistants, wardrobe, hair & makeup, food-stylists, prop masters, retouchers and editors. I know, I sound like a jack of all trades but I love it all. So I invite you to take a look at the work and decide which side of my business is best for a project we can work on together.
A Charleston, SC native turned Florida girl. Life is about slowing down, loving people, and laughing loud enough your neighbors recognize you from the next aisle at the grocery store. A full time photographer since 2008, I got my start photographing life and people, but have unexpectedly fallen in love with photographing food along the way. Want to work together? Email me, I'd love to hear from you!
Yvonne Albinowski is an award winning food, portrait and travelogue photographer. In addition to working in the commercial and editorial world, Yvonne continues to shoot personal photo essays taking her to remote desert mining towns to ice fishing derbies in the Adirondacks. Some like to take the easy road, others prefer the path less travelled. I am a fan of the latter – I thrive on challenge, detail, and problem solving. It’s that passion that makes me crave the right shot, right set, and most mouth-watering styling. Food photography is not a simple path from idea to execution – it’s an exploration and often a collaboration. When I first began to explore this type of work I knew it would make for an epic creative journey from my first attempts at lighting, to the way I continue to push myself creatively today. I am always exploring and I don’t think I’ll ever stop learning. When I’m not in the kitchen or the studio you’ll find me happily collecting my share of sand and dirt out on the mountain bike trails in Central Florida. To me there is no better feeling than the rush you get from a job well done…except maybe the rush of rolling along a beautifully flowing trail with some happy jumps and berms in a beautiful wooded setting.
Gabriella Marks is a San Franciscan expat music shooter turned chef-and-farmer groupie. She arrived in New Mexico on pure intuition, but knows why she stays: the spectacular high desert light, the lenticular clouds, and the humbling experience of urging a single squash plant from the dry clay soil and ancient pueblo pottery shards in the garden. Her respect for, and relationships with, the farmers and chefs in the region grows daily. A recognized name in the regional food world, Gabriella has been expanding her horizons to encompass lifestyle and portrait work in the Southwest and beyond. She's driven to discover in every single shot an opportunity to frame moments and light in harmonious and striking detail. Perhaps the most single most powerful thing she has learned is how essential good listening – to the client, to the subject, to the environment – is crucial to creating and capturing the right image. Gabriella lives just a touch north of Santa Fe out in the wilds of Pojoaque with one very short and rather long chiweenie, and an opinionated flock of little feathered dinosaurs, commonly known as garden variety backyard chickens. Gabriella is currently serving as the President of the New Mexico chapter of ASMP (American Society of Media Photographers).
