Gabriella Marks is a San Franciscan expat music shooter turned chef-and-farmer groupie. She arrived in New Mexico on pure intuition, but knows why she stays: the spectacular high desert light, the lenticular clouds, and the humbling experience of urging a single squash plant from the dry clay soil and ancient pueblo pottery shards in the garden. Her respect for, and relationships with, the farmers and chefs in the region grows daily. A recognized name in the regional food world, Gabriella has been expanding her horizons to encompass lifestyle and portrait work in the Southwest and beyond. She's driven to discover in every single shot an opportunity to frame moments and light in harmonious and striking detail. Perhaps the most single most powerful thing she has learned is how essential good listening – to the client, to the subject, to the environment – is crucial to creating and capturing the right image. Gabriella lives just a touch north of Santa Fe out in the wilds of Pojoaque with one very short and rather long chiweenie, and an opinionated flock of little feathered dinosaurs, commonly known as garden variety backyard chickens. Gabriella is currently serving as the President of the New Mexico chapter of ASMP (American Society of Media Photographers).

As a Kansas City-based commercial and editorial photographer, Steve Puppe’s freelance assignments range from food and environmental portraiture, to healthcare, agriculture and corporate photography. Living with his wife, two daughters and son outside the city, and with a studio in the Strawberry Hill area, Steve has stayed connected to the city where he’s spent much of his life. Steve’s interest in photography, like his connection to his hometown, has deep roots. With a painter for a mother, he was exposed to art at a young age, taking every art class available to him. He flirted with the paintbrush and the pencil, but it wasn’t until he received a camera that he fell in love. From his first high school photo class, Steve knew what he wanted to do with his life. While still a high school student, he had the good fortune of working with Hallmark Cards, which paired him with commercial photographers, and paid for his film and photo trips. Steve continued his photo studies at Kansas University, where he studied advertising and photojournalism. He also freelanced for Hallmark and commercial photographers on the side. Through Hallmark, Steve furthered his creative development, learning how to capture a diverse range of subjects from people to still life. He took that experience with him into a career in photojournalism, covering a variety of stories for notable papers. Eventually, Steve headed back to the studio, working as an in-house photographer at an ad agency. It was there that his degree in advertising gave came into play, giving him the insight to take on a wide array of clients and campaigns. Working as a graphic designer and photographer allowed Steve to take projects from conception all the way to the press check. Fast forward and nowadays, Steve combines that commercial experience with photojournalistic story telling shooting for notable clients like Cerner, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Humana, Sprint, Nike, Google, AT&T, Chrysler and IBM. When he’s not out on assignment, he’s cooking up some Kansas City BBQ, or taking pictures of his family because when Steve’s taking a picture, he’s happy.

Photography is about telling a story and I've been doing it as a commercial photographer for over twenty years. Whether it be through one frame or a series of images, I love making photographs that speak about the subject. I'm drawn to location choices that complement a subject yet recede enough to allow the subject to dominate the image. Since growing up in Houston, TX in my father's printing company, I've always enjoyed the meticulous nature of my business. From operating an offset press at the age of 15, I learned the importance of quality craftsmanship that has remained an important aspect throughout my life. What I truly love about photography is both the technical and artistic sides. It's the balance of both of these that create interesting images that resonate with the viewer. In this day of digital media and our constant bombardment by visual clutter, it is so important to make imagery that tells its story in an elegant and unique way. Whether it's a single still photograph or a series, I enjoy making images that successfully communicate my client's vision. I live in beautiful Grapevine, TX along with my wife Rebecca and our two kids… Noah (17) and Annalise (15).
RJ Hinkle is a commercial food and lifestyle photographer in Dallas, Texas. Before delving into the commercial world, R.J. devoted 13 years to photojournalism, working for a variety of newspapers and magazines as well as United Press International and the Associated Press. With more than 15 years experience as a commercial photographer, his diverse experience has allowed him to amass an impressive body of editorial and advertising work. With a slew of experience working alone with what he can carry on his back or running large-scale productions with grip trucks, RV's, craft services & big crews, his easy, unobtrusive editorial style has garnered favor with editors, art directors and marketing folks alike. Even his frequent work with children and animals hasn’t deterred him from his passionate pursuit of great images. R.J. has a degree in Photocommunications from Texas Tech University, where he serves on the College of Media & Communications' National Advisory Board. A Texas BBQ habitue, wannabe avid bicyclist and culinary enthusiast, R.J. lives in Coppell, Texas with his beautiful, understanding wife, two above average children and his Tibetan Terrier Milo.
I shoot food, people + interiors and love each of them. Often I am lucky enough to combine all three in one shot! I love to work with clients and agencies to create images that will clarify and elevate their brand. It is important to me that every photoshoot is collaborative, relaxed, efficient and FUN! TGP is equipped to handle all aspects of production for shoots of any scale. I team with producers on larger scale productions to ensure a smooth and successful shoot and client experience. Two things: • Based in Dallas, TX • Shooting professionally since 2000 (and for free since a long time before that!) Education: University of Texas at Austin (hook 'em!) BFA in Studio Art (the degree most likely to result in big money) A stab at being serious: I graduated with a BFA in Studio Art, with a primary concentration in photography. I learned almost nothing about photography as a career, but having my roots in fine art always felt like a good thing. It gave me an invaluable understanding and reverence for the art and honed my ability to "see" thoroughly and critically. I always strive to capture a genuine moment and / or to see things in a unique and compelling way. I love the collaborative aspect of commercial shooting. I care very much about delivering for my clients — it is their time, their money, their brand and if i’m chosen to represent it, I will always give 100%.
Stewart was born in Montreal inside an elevator during a snowstorm to an architect dad and an actress mom. Some say that this is how he got his discerning sense of shot design and a love of casting people. Although, none of this ever seemed relevant to him. Working out scenes at the dinner table for a solid 17 years while living at home, definitely left a mark on how he thinks. He gets a charge out of working with people from all walks of life, not only due to his upbringing but mostly due to his innate curiosity in hearing their stories and learning about what makes others tick. It was this curiosity that drove Stewart to create a monograph titled “Identity”, a biopic project featuring well known and unusual people. Each portrait in the book is combined with their own personally handwritten quotes, expressing their uniqueness & individuality. Walter Isaacson comments, "Each page will delight you, and also make you think. It’s a treasure.” Likewise, Stewart’s most recent title, “Seeing Red”, takes a fun jab at the urban myth of redheads becoming extinct.
Based in the Midwest (Milwaukee/Chicago). Available for travel worldwide, anywhere, anytime. Exploration and curiosity drive my work as an artist and photographer. I specialize in editorial portrait and advertising photography as well as lifestyle, corporate, food, and travel. I have a BFA in painting, and over twenty years of experience as a photographer. Whether I’m one-on-one with a farmer in the orchard or working with a team in the studio, my goal is to bring a unique vision to the project. I aim to collect moments that are part of a larger whole. Inspirations: mountain views, southwest desert air, finding magic in the ordinary, and getting my hands dirty in a garden. Interests include: cheese (all dairy products in general), plant hoarding, postcard collecting, reading magazines, and and giving belly rubs to my blue heelers.

Hi! I’m CJ, a commercial and editorial photographer and retoucher located in Milwaukee, WI, but serving clients all over the country. In a past life, I spent nearly 20 years as an art director in the advertising and marketing world – shaping how I view photography, its purpose, and working with a team to meet specific goals. I enjoy working with clients that are willing to push their visuals to the next level and are open to experimenting together. I like to work with all kinds of light and creative processes to constantly push my photography. I’ve learned a lot over the years by building assets to match current campaigns for countless clients. This has taught me how to be a bit of a chameleon in my process and also helped me to hone in on my own definitive style. I love moody lighting that isn’t overdone – every highlight and shadow is very intentional and I tend to pay attention to all the details that most don’t. I’m a bit of a perfectionist. I love connecting the perfect visuals with exciting brands to fully realize their vision. It would be great to chat with you about how we can create something beautiful together.

My work spans many different genres – from shooting people to focusing on things we wear, the things we eat, to the places we live, to the things we love, and the things we crave. I love to capture it all. People ask me to help them tell stories through a lens. I can do that – I love it. I spend my time shooting in and out my studio, and traveling when requested. I travel for fun when I can because i believe personal time is essential. I prefer to be outside. I try to surround myself with good hearts. I love all kinds of music. I like pretending that I can play guitar. I often find myself staring in awe at my boys. I think my wife is cool as hell. Having grown up 3 blocks from Lambeau Field, I will always bleed green and gold. I will always have dogs. I love video games but never play. I will always want birds in my house but will never have one as it would make me sad. I want my boys to be older for certain things but I don't ever really want them to grow up. I will probably never be satisfied with my landscaping and garden. I will always want the feeling of a workout without any of the exercise. I will always cringe at the act of explaining myself and then end up rambling on and on and on and on and on…….
Combining my own attributes and technical skills, I help brands tell their distinct narrative, establish their visual identity, and create memorable content for all usage and platforms. My clients span commercial, editorial, restaurant, boutique hospitality, travel, luxury residential, publishing, B2B, B2C, D2C, and startup brands. I earned my degree in Journalism from Boston University, and Editorial and Advertising Honors from The New England School Of Photography. I have an extended network of producers, video crews, food stylists, prop stylists, studios, creative directors, and graphic designers that help to make every shoot a perfect success. While currently growing roots in Chicago, I also have a strong client base in New York City where I spent the first ten years of my career and established myself in the creative community.

I love my job, so much it doesn't feel like a job. Still can't believe I get to make photos for a living. Favorites photos? Ones that are equal parts pretty and useful. Favorites shoots? Ones that involve a scrappy crew and client, where by the end it feels a bit like summer camp did, a bit weird to say goodbye to the people your life has revolved around for days, but we all leave feeling accomplished as a team. Favorite subject? People of any age! Though I do love a good detail, an enticing dish, or anything that helps tell a story and inviting. Background? Born in Florida, childhood summers in California, and thrice Texas transplant (once for college, once for work, and once for hubs.) Liberal arts degree in history; various jobs after college that made photography seem like the best career in the world; married with kids; owner of one seriously adorable and ornery dog; and a "human pinball" technically residing in Austin, TX, though frequently found in Florida or in a window seat headed elsewhere.
Buff is a commercial and editorial photographer who shoots lifestyle, food, interiors and kids. She has 20 years of experience shooting for clients across the country on both big and small productions. Buff was born and raised in Texas and has been taking pictures as long as she can remember. She spent all her free time in high school photographing her friends and in the darkroom. Buff's undergraduate degree drew her to a career in advertising in San Francisco where she was able to work with some amazing photographic talent and continue her photography studies at UC Berkeley. She was inspired to quit her day job after a soul searching road trip and has never looked back. Buff's passion for photography brought her to New York in 2000. She traveled extensively shooting for clients such as Travel and Leisure, Gourmet, House Beautiful, Body and Soul, Parents, Hyperion, Time Inc. and Coastal Living. Buff is energized creatively by the variety of work she's asked to shoot and capturing moments that are personal and authentic in her subjects. In 2011 Buff, her husband and son George moved their home base to Austin. But she finds herself back in NYC shooting for clients and visiting family and friends as often as possible.
