I was born in Omaha, Nebraska and am currently based in the Hartford area (Newington, CT to be exact), working as a freelance photographer for/with some great people. My location is ideal for regional travel within New England with convenient access to air travel for points beyond. With 15 years of full-time freelancing, my skills are transferable between news, portraits, enterprise, tv/film sets, sports, food and travel. I have experience efficiently working solo, successfully as part of a crew and leading a small creative team. For the past decade I’ve been a regular contributor to many national media publications/agencies. Prior to Connecticut I freelanced for five years in Las Vegas, another five in Nashville, yet another five in New York City and before that earned a Bachelor of Journalism from The University of Texas at Austin. Portions of my back archive are syndicated by Redux Pictures.
Lynsey Weatherspoon’s first photography teacher was her late mother, Rhonda. Like her mentor-in-her-head Carrie Mae Weems, that first camera – a gift – delivered purpose. Her career includes editorial and commercial work that has been inspired and powered by her first teacher’s love and lessons. The #blackqueergirl is an award winning photographer, portraitist and director based in Atlanta and Birmingham. Using both photography and filmmaking as tools to tell stories, Weatherspoon’s work has been featured in print and online in such publications as The New York Times, USA Today, NPR, Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, Time, ESPN and ESPN-owned The Undefeated. As a member of a modern vanguard of photographers, she is often called on to capture heritage and history in real time. The Equal Justice Institute’s Bryan Stevenson. The National Memorial for Peace and Justice. The Legacy Museum. Ronnie the shoe repairman in downtown Birmingham. The people of the Gullah-Geechee Corridor. An entire family infected with and affected by a pandemic. Demonstrators with raised fists and sad, vulnerable eyes. The sons and daughters of history. The mothers of children who died making history. The majesty of Mardi Gras. The loving hands of family caregivers. Lynsey Weatherspoon’s work has been exhibited at The African American Museum in Philadelphia and Photoville NYC. She is an awardee, The Lit List, 2018. Her affiliations include Diversify Photo, Authority Collective, and Women Photograph, as well as National Press Photographers Association (NPPA), Professional Photographers Association (PPA), American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP), and American Photographic Artists (APA). She was also named a Canon Explorer of Light in 2020, and became a member of IATSE Local 600 in 2022.
I am a commercial and editorial photographer based in Atlanta, Georgia. The youngest of four kids in a military family, there were five stamps in my passport by the time I was five years old. My father retired from the air force just before I entered kindergarten and we moved to North Florida where life became more predictable. A few years later, I began to take pictures (mostly of my pets and friends) with my mom's point-and-shoot to entertain myself and also because I loved going to K-Mart where I could sit at the counter and talk to people while waiting for my prints to shuffle out of the machine. my work is a combination of storytelling and portraiture, often with a focus on social issues. My roots are in the American south and I am as passionate about doing work here as any other place in the world. I am a Spanish-speaker (also fluent in non-verbal communication) and have worked extensively in central and south America, Europe, and Asia.

Growing up in the heart of the flyover states (Indiana), sometimes I'm even surprised that I live in Texas now. After receiving an early career grant from the National Geographic Society to work in coastal Louisiana, I moved down south and made Houston my home. They say you'll adjust to the heat, but I'm four years in and growing more skeptical by the day. When not taking care of my houseplants or triathlon training, I'm a full-time independent editorial and commercial photographer interested in photographing where climate and culture collide. I've been commissioned to do work for The New York Times, HBO, The Wall Street Journal, CNN, Airbnb, The Washington Post, NPR, Bloomberg Businessweek, AFP, Buzzfeed News and Paper Magazine among other clients. I'm also a FAA Part 107 licensed drone pilot.

Stuart Tibaweswa is a Kampala-based Ugandan documentary photographer. His work often focuses on marginalised communities, their relationship to wider society and seeks to contribute towards correcting misrepresented narratives. Stuart's interest in long-term documentary storytelling springs from the desire to question himself about important social, identity, human rights and climate change issues around his community and address them through a series of photographs. His latest long-term project focuses on how Rwenzori Mountains' melting glaciers due to global warming, continue to affect the people down slopes in Kasese district, Uganda.
I’m a full-time documentary photographer and visual storyteller, a job that takes me around the world. I'm based in Atlanta, but welcome assignments worldwide, with a special focus on conservation and climate change-related stories. My work has been published in The New Yorker, The Washington Post, on PBS and CNN, among others. My work has been exhibited in galleries all around the United States and other parts of North America, as well as South America and throughout Europe. Before making a career change, I spent nearly two decades in digital content strategy and marketing, working in-house and on the agency side for some of the world's best brands. I love working on projects where I can combine that expertise with my photo and video work. Being able to liaise between marketing teams and creative teams has proven valuable more than once in my career. Outside of work, I'm an avid birdwatcher, hiker and camper, and native plant gardener, soaking in as much of our natural world as I can. One of my favorite writers and kindred spirits, Mary Oliver, said it best — "I don't want to end up simply having visited this world."
