The magic of capturing real people in their element is unparalleled.
Marriott S3 Peak became not just a destination but a canvas for stories waiting to be told through my lens.

Your memories are retellings of a story. Like a message in a game of telephone, each time you repeat the story the more it gets distorted, changed from its original form into something new.

Then it clicked and I could see these girls in the mountains of Oaxaca dressed as angels, preparing for their first communion without any self-consciousness. I had never seen that before
What I find most enjoyable about a simple portrait is the ability to encourage the viewer’s curiosity and imagination.
I’m invariably attracted to backdrop portraiture, and while the past year has been busy with commissions and travel, I was able to get in a few personal shoots between campaigns. Whether I’m shooting digital, film, or video, the goal is always consistency throughout the project.
Seaweed farming started on Ceningan Island in Bali about 40 years ago and was a stable crop. With the growth of tourism it stopped in recent years as tourism jobs paid more. I recently went out of my comfort zone with this self assignment: simply photograph beautiful photos of flowers and plants. My favorite images involve spring colors and I’m highlighting many of those images.
The Mekong River in Southeast Asia is facing significant challenges. Dams built, primarily for power, are harming the river’s ecosystem and affecting farming in the Mekong Delta. Climate change worsens these problems, impacting crops and land. Illegal sand mining also adds to the delta’s troubles. These issues have turned the Mekong into a political and economic battleground for multiple countries.
