Mexico City-based Nicole Franco works alongside cast and crew on as unit photographer for Narcos: Mexico Season 3, which aired this past November on Netflix. As the show follows the real-life events of illegal drug trafficking in 1980s Mexico, Nicole’s photojournalistic eye helped capture the grit and glamour that has millions watching this dramatic retelling of Mexico’s past.

San Miguel de Allende, Mexico-based Nicole Franco documents the pageantry and passion behind Charreada, a traditional Mexican event akin to the rodeo which has been performed for centuries.

In between client-based shoots, photographers often pursue self-assigned projects with the aim of either bulking up a certain type of portfolio, exploring new artistic sentiments, and/or photographing something meaningful to them on a personal level. This was exactly what Mexico City-based photographer Nicole Franco had in mind when she began her ongoing personal project entitled Charros.

When an innovative new technology comes to the forefront it usually takes humanity some time to figure out the various ways that it can be used. Drones seem to be an exception to that rule.
