Back in February, we got an email from LA-based photographer Yoni Goldberg. Yoni let us know that he was going to be traveling to New York later on in the month and that he wanted our help making meetings while he was visiting.
Yoni filled us in on what he’s been working on lately to give us material to talk about when reaching out for meetings. Primarily a fashion and lifestyle photographer, he’s recently been involved in some exciting new projects, incorporating food and travel into his portfolio.
Yoni gave us the names of a few magazines he was interested in meeting with but left it up to us to select ad agencies and graphic design firms to reach out to on his behalf. We took his list and delved into the work he showed, and from there researched likely client matches to build the list of clients out.
From there we wrote a short email requesting a meeting, telling a bit about Yoni, and detailing his availability:
We were able to schedule Yoni four meetings during his trip to New York. It was a 50/50 split of agencies and magazines, and we also arranged to have Yoni drop the book off at another magazine that loved his work but was unable to make a meeting.
Yoni knocked it out of the park in his meetings, showing his personality along with his work. We received some kind words back from one of the clients he met with:
Hi Elyse,
Thanks for connecting me with Yoni,
He’s amazing – met him today.
Maybe we’ll have something for him in the future.
Overall, it was a successful round of meetings for Yoni, and he was very happy with the meetings we booked.
