In October, Wonderful Machine received stock requests from the Environmental Defense Fund and Der Spiegel Magazine. Both were unmanaged stock requests, which means the photographer negotiated the usage of the images on their own.
Environmental Defense Fund needed images featuring a farmer or fisher in a reaching pose with their face in-frame, to be considered as the opening photo on the homepage of an annual report microsite and for concurrent printed materials. The request was for one-time print and web collateral use.
Der Spiegel was seeking recent, high-resolution, color photos of American economist and Harvard University professor Kenneth Rogoff for an upcoming story in the magazine’s business section. The request was for one-time print editorial use.
