Liz deSousa

Liz deSousa is a freelance prop stylist, photographer, and artist living in New York City. Vivid colors and surreal textures frequently play a part of her images. A lifelong fine artist, her experience with paint and pen are evident in her styling texture work. After graduating with a BFA in photography from the School of Visual Arts, Liz began a career in the jewelry industry. Her love of photography eventually reeled her back in, and thus she found a found a way to merge her love of the tactile and the visual, through both styling and photography. Today Liz works most often as a texture and prop stylist, occasionally as a photographer, and selectively as an art director for special projects. Whether it’s beauty, paper, or fine art, meticulous attention to details and lighting are always a key part of her creations. Most of the work displayed here was both styled and photographed by Liz unless otherwise specified.
