From Friday the 13th to Halloween, October 2017 was one spooky month. Luckily, our analytics report was nothing to be afraid of! This month brought in a total of 18,517-page sessions, which is about a 2,000-session increase from the previous month.
As usual, the United States and the United Kingdom maintained their status as top locations. Italy moved up a few places from last month, with 344 sessions, and the Netherlands joined our top 10 with 132 sessions.
There were 10,349 searches on our Find Photographers tool in October, for an average of 333 searches per day. Our photographers brought in a total of 17,093 profile views, putting the average at 24 per member. Newcomer Will Strawser took the lead for highest profile views this month with 152, and Jiyang Chen and Quique Cabanillas followed with 101 and 99, respectively.
In terms of click-throughs, there were a total of 6,761 clicks to our photographers’ sites this month, yielding an average of 9 clicks per member. Will Strawser made a clean sweep in the profiles department with both the most views and the most click-throughs, having 39 clicks to his site. Julia Vandenoever was a close second with 36, and John Fedele came in third with 29.
In October, our photographer news blog brought in 6,408 views. Check out the top posts from this month:
Fernando Decillis and his work with Aguila and Sofia Vergara were actually featured on the blog the last day in September, but as the star of our previous emailer, the post views carried through into early October.
Towards the middle of the month, we also ran an Instagram promotion featuring 32 of our member photographers and each of our specialities. We targeted users affiliated with photography, video, visual arts, art direction, and production companies with the goal of attracting clients to our roster of photographers. Over the course of its 10-day promotion, the ad yielded 2,096 impressions and 16 clicks to our website.
That’s all for October 2017!
