It’s not every day that you have the chance to speak with a photographer who’s at the front line of American news. New York-based photojournalist Benjamin Norman’s work spans sociocultural movements like the Black Lives Matter protests in 2020, political campaigns, local stories in New York City, and most recently the heavily publicized arraignment of former President Donald Trump for The New York Times.
Wonderful Machine senior producer Bryan Sheffield and marketing specialist Marianne Lee were eager to sit down with Ben to learn more about his career stringing for The New York Times, navigating assignments, and the extensive planning that went into his covering the arraignment of this high-profile defendant.
