April marked the second month of remote work for everyone at Wonderful Machine, including our client outreach squad.
At Wonderful Machine, we prioritize outreach to clients to secure gigs for our photographers and increase top-of-mind awareness among prospective clients. Our outreach team works client-by-client, sending out personalized emails to art buyers, producers, and creative directors. We also are constantly adding prospective clients to our database of contacts, expanding our potential reach.
In April we adjusted our outreach process slightly, pushing harder on client research and building up our database of prospects. Along with this focus on research, we’ve been ramping up our email campaigns to those clients. Many of you have participated in our Creative In Place series.
Collectively, our research and outreach team added 741 people and 30 companies to our database in April. The team also had to verify contact info for many of those clients, as the business world keeps changing (especially these days). They also updated 1044 people and 1291 companies. We also sent out a total of 1,060 individual emails during the process.
Stock requests have seen a jump since COVID, with fewer shoots happening and advertisers looking for any way to get imagery. We had 12 stock requests in April.
