At Wonderful Machine, we work to build relationships with all sorts of blogs, publications, podcasts, associations, equipment manufacturers, and other organizations in our industry. Our Partnership efforts have two components: sharing industry information and publicizing our member photographers.
In June, we pitched our articles to publications including DIY Photography, aPhotoEditor, Pro Photo Daily, Blind Magazine, Phoode, Production Paradise, PetaPixel, and Feature Shoot. Five of our articles were picked up, ranging from Photographer Spotlight to Expert Advice, Specialty, and Pricing & Negotiating.
DIY Photography shares insights into the industry and art of photography, providing resources such as tutorials, reviews, and more. This month, they shared two of our articles: one Expert Advice and one Specialty.
Expert Advice: Google Search Console For Photographers is a comprehensive, user-friendly guide. It takes photographers through the set-up process, and how they can use it to optimize their website, boosting visibility and ranking.
The second article, Specialty: Science/Technology Photography, explains the specialty, its demand, how a photographer can market themselves, and more.
We frequently contribute to AI-AP’s photography blog, Pro Photo Daily. This June, they shared our Spotlight article, Super Bowl LVII: Aaron Ingrao For NFL, about a recent project from outdoor/adventure photographer and permanent nomad, Aaron Ingrao.
Pro Photo Daily also republished our Staff Spotlight: Gina Martin’s The Bob And Diane Fund At Photoville ’23. Gina Martin, a Creative and Marketing Consultant at Wonderful Machine, founded The Bob and Diane Fund in honor of her parents, who shared a five-year battle with Alzheimer’s. In June, The Bob and Diane Fund – along with its first seven grant winners – presented an inaugural group showing of “Losing Self” at the 12th annual Photoville Festival.
For over ten years, we’ve had a partnership with photography blog aPhotoEditor. They often republish our Pricing & Negotiating articles, which are contributed by one of our producers. The articles analyze a negotiated estimate between a photographer and a client (with names redacted) to illustrate how the two parties reached a successful agreement. In June, they shared our article, Pricing & Negotiating: Marketing Materials For A Medical Device/Software Manufacturer.
In June, we reconnected with the food-based photography site Phoode. They shared our Spotlight article, A Magnificent Mess: Black Horse Productions For Zaxby’s on their blog. The article covers how Lee Runion and Jennifer Bostic of Black Horse Productions created a visual rebrand for fast food chain Zaxby’s.
