During the month of December, our Client Outreach team sent out 715 emails to potential clients. From these, we received 30 meaningful replies and ended up on five phone calls to pitch our photographers. Along with these correspondences, the team added a total of 366 people and 68 companies to our database of prospects. That’s 100 more people than we added last month. Never wanting to exhaust our outreach options, these additions are warmly welcomed.
An interesting effort within our outreach this month came from associate producer Natalia Martinez, who is fluent in Spanish (her parents both grew up in Puerto Rico). She focused specifically on adding people and companies from Latin America. With photographers located around the entire world, it’s useful for us to periodically focus on certain countries or regions to balance out the predominance of North American prospects.
Here are some successes from this month: Dan Cutrona of Miami Beach was awarded a project with Josh Winery with estimating help from producer Craig Oppenheimer. Rocco Ceselin of Los Angeles was hired for a portrait shoot for Nature Magazine. REI licensed an image from D.C. based photographer Avery Peechatka for a full-page print. Finally, Finn O’Hara of Toronto was hired for a shoot for the Toronto Blue Jays.
We’ll close this month with a generous comment from the photo editor at American Way Magazine: “I use [Wonderful Machine] as a reference to look for photographers all of the time.”
Check back in with us next month to see how we’re doing!
