Inspired in part by Scott and Sarah Gable, who are perpetually in motion, we’ve developed our Travel Plans feature to enable our photographers to update not only their present location, but any number of future locations.
With most photographer directories, your location (even if you can have more than one) is static. There is one directory that I know of that allows you to update your current location in real-time, which is nice. But we have taken that idea one step further by allowing our photographers to update their Travel Plans to show their whereabouts at any point in the future. That way, if the client knows when their shoot needs to happen, they can search on that date to see who’s in that location on that day.
Once you’ve signed in to our website, you’ll find a Travel Plans tab in the Account menu. You can then simply add locations along with starting and ending dates. If you make a mistake or change your plans, you can just click REMOVE and that item will disappear.
Of course, this feature isn’t intended to indicate your availability (which may change at any given moment, and depends on the opportunity. It just shows your expected location on that date.
