April marked the first month of our brand new look! To celebrate, we wanted to get a web ad out there that not only featured an image that played well with our branding but also directed a lot of clicks to the new site. For that reason, we chose to create a targeted Facebook ad campaign, which ran from April 10 through April 30. The ad featured a beautiful, relaxing image from San Francisco-based lifestyle photography duo Trinette + Chris, overlaid with our tagline, Find What You’re Looking For.
The ad reached (what Facebook calls impressions) 120,383 people and had 859 clicks (658 to the website, 201 to our Facebook page). We targeted people in the US, ages 21-60 who included keywords such as art director, marketing, brand, advertising, advertising agency, or creative director in their interests. We excluded people who like Wonderful Machine (you already like us!) and ran the bid for website clicks, rather than impressions.
