At Wonderful Machine, we work to build relationships with all sorts of blogs, publications, podcasts, associations, equipment manufacturers, and other organizations in our industry. Our Partnerships efforts have two objectives: share educational content about our industry and publicize our member photographers and our consultants/producers.
In December, we pitched our articles to aPhotoEditor, DIY Photography, Pro Photo Daily, Rocky Mountain School Of Photography, and more. The three mentioned publications picked up four of our articles: two Expert Advice, one Industry News article, and one Photographer Spotlight.
DIY Photography shares insights into the industry and art of photography, providing resources such as tutorials, reviews, and more. Last month, they shared Expert Advice: The Photographer-Agent Relationship, which considers how the photographer-agent dream matches up with reality.
Rocky Mountain School of Photography offers a variety of photography education programs, workshops, and online courses. Their focus is teaching photographers how to start their businesses and become professionals. They shared Expert Advice: Emailer Design For Photographers, which reveals some of the best email marketing practices to maximize your chances of success.
We regularly contribute to AI-AP’s photography blog, Pro Photo Daily. In December, they shared two of our articles.
Survey Results: Print Portfolios & Portfolio Reviews, a hard data analysis about what (and how much) has changed about the way publications, agencies, and brands meet with photographers.
The second article that Pro Photo Daily shared was Healing Efforts: Todd Brown for the USAID. A photographer spotlight about Todd Brown’s travels to rural Thailand to capture malaria interventions being conducted by the Research Triangle Institute for USAID.
